Google launched the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold last month, and today all of these devices are receiving their first ever software update. This is the September update that is going out to all of the Pixel devices that Google still supports. And it’s not Android 15, in case you were wondering.
While it fixes security vulnerabilities for all, this update also adds a specific bug fix for the Pixel 9 family. This will improve Wi-Fi stability and performance “in certain conditions”, Google says, without going any further into detail.
As usual with Google software rollouts, expect this one to take many days, if not even weeks, to fully reach all of the supported devices out there. Once your Pixel 9 device is on this latest software, it will show as version AD1A.240905.004.
