Bruhhhh, one of the many reasons I bought Elden ring on steam deck was all these reviews that it was supported. Man it barely even runs… 35-40 fps
Days works
In Gabe I trust.
Asus rog ally z1 vs steam dec? For gaming like elden ring
I got the old model on sale and it allows me to access a vast majority of my library and it's easy to use. I don't wanna have to fuck around with it, I just want it to play games. Even older titles, I was thrilled when I found out Ghost Busters the video game played just fine. I did upgrade to a 2TB hard drive and did it myself, it was very easy and I didn't bother taking any of the safety precautions outside of shutting it off.
I like Xbox cloud gaming and ps5 remote play from the deck has made it the ultimate gaming machine for me
You’re the first YouTuber I seen playing gunbrella
I’m in a steam deck group on Facebook and nearly 70% of the people on there said they wish they had an ally X.
I may buy a Steam Deck but only when a much more powerful version is released. I may have to wait for a while, though.
its just so unfair…. win consoles are able to play anything
steam deck is locked in linux…. the old story
Just curious, how fast does it load a game or resume gameplay? I usually have only 5 to 15 minutes to play games before I go to sleep. Currently, I’m quite happy with the Nintendo Switch because it loads very quickly and reliably. However, I’ve been thinking about playing some of the games on the Switch that I already have on Steam. Also, Nintendo games are really expensive. Do you think it’s suitable for me?
I'm just going to ask is the processing power better on the oled? My steam deck is probably going to spend more time in the dock by the tv.
Isn’t stick drift a big issue with the steam deck I’m considering getting one over a Nintendo switch however the stick drift issue concerns me. Is there something on the steam deck that helps you prevent/ fix it?
I would argue the only downside of the steam is sometimes the size
Apex Lgends is deck verified btw
I want to get it, but I want a smaller version or a tablet with detachable controllers.
Bought 2 LCD Steamdecks and one Rog Ally . Sold them all again , because I cannot force myself to play with them when I have a normal pc setup right next door . Also performance for everything except indie small games just run awful with these 40 fps cap.
Anybody that had 100hz or more will know what I mean . Barely playable
I need something for a 17 hour flight I have coming up with my wife and five year old. Leaning heavy on the OLED..
So if a used rog ally z1 extreme is cheaper than a used steam deck oled, then, asus is the one to buy?
So is all games available just some u have to still use mnk if that’s the case then yea I would definitely want to get one of these but if there are games u just can’t play at all then idk
idk imo the deck and the switch are like entry models. i have a deck oled, and a switch oled, a 3000 dollar laptop, and a lenovo legion go, and the go is my main gaming rig.
I am a non-multiplayer, and the most I've done is co-op with my GF, and the steam deck has been great for me. The only games where I have had to lower graphics were 'High on Life' and 'supraland', but everything else, up to Doom 2016, run well.
Specs wise I have a 1 terabyte upgrade from a 64 gig model. My deck was pre ordered, and I got it right when they sartte to sell it without preorders.
I have done a lot of stem schoolwork. The only school relatd issues I have had with it is Fusion360, due to login issues while duel booting into windows.
My deck has been a great choice for my as a gaming pc and my daily school laptop.
I really honestly dont get it… Is it because its cheaper?
If you want performance you want a PC and if you are traveling, you would want a lap top…I dont see any purpose to this thing… I mean if you are a 8yo kid I guess you dont know better.. You might as well get a 5$ handeld tetris game
I want to play dragon ball sparking zero , but also want to playe emulated games and some triple A games , but I don't know if is steam deck oled better or Asus Rog ally since I also use a lot of micro SD for the thousand retro games I play I'm scared Asus won't read the micro SD , which one I should get ?
Please my buddy i not have much money but i playing games at hours … i have steam deck lcd .. rog ally x is much better??? In my city rog ally is 1600 dollars
I love the steam deck. I have the original and it’s awesome. You do amazing things with it especially if you are into retro games.
I do not think this is a popular opinion. But I find the Steam Deck to be janky AF at times. Never wakes up from sleep properly. Have to do a little dance with the power button or restart. Crappy audio drivers – i.e. no audio from speakers when plugged into a monitor. Proton poops the bed on a regular basis and games stop working. Games "optimized" for Deck are unplayable – i.e. Fallout 4 on screen menus not scaled properly.
And don't get me started on having to use the god forsaken Linux Desktop mode…
My son sold his laptop for one of these. And he just doesn't touch it Taking it on trips has been an exercise in frustration. Trying to fix things from the tiny onscreen keyboard is challenging.
I think its pretty cool piece of hardware. Especially for the price point. If you love it.That's cool.
I just find it weird the Youtube people treat it as if it's infallible perfect piece of hardware.
The list of games that are unplayable on steam deck is inaccurate. I play Dead by Daylight frequently on the deck. It works natively without any tinkering.
You can get grips and accessories for the go too, what make the steam deck so that is the 800p if 1080p ? Maybe i think it needs to be 1440p or 1600p. i think it is in second place i oled, not it . When the switch did the oled vision, I recommend the steam deck over an ally. But I think the go if you want power but. Also a cheap twiligh But I think the go if you want power but. Also, a cheap price
I absolutely loved my legion go for the 12 days i had it before it bricked itself, turned it off one evening and the next day when i turned it on it would just hang on the book screen, couldn't even use a windows restore point or factory reset it would just say your pc has run into a problem and restart and then just hand on boot again, returned it to amazon and bought myself a steam deck and i have to say I'm not disappointed at all it might be slightly older tech but for what im using it for you would never notice
I'm getting mine soon.
can it run ARK Ascended
Steamdecks price to performance is bad. Even the worst windows pc right now the Lenovo go destroys it. People only like it because it’s easy to update…. That’s literally it. It’s locked out of playing the vast majority of games including almost all multiplayer games. Then they say oled. Oled is Not a gaming screen. It has major issues with static images that games have. It doesn’t have vrr or gsync which is beyond important for all pc gaming. 😂
Other than the other features of the steam deck; people never really sell how amazing the haptic touchpads are. They're absolutely amazing for both switching between the flicks of joysticks and using the mousepad for precision and for strategy/menu based games. They also mesmerizing to just feel and use alone.
Actually I bought 1 Tb OLED , for 1500 $ and it worth
Man. Im 3 videos deep in your channel and gg. The MOST detailed and thorough reviews for each handheld i have ever seen. Without the fluff and vagueness. Loved how the video is divided into relevant segments and the overall pace and ambience/set up of ur videos are so clean. Keep it up man❤
I love my LCD Steam Deck. Sure its limited, sure Linux annoys the crap out of me, and sure, the battery isn't amazing….. BUT….
I'm recovering from an injury where being anywhere but lying down in my bed is uncomfortable for a few days. In that time, I've finished Sleeping Dogs, when I otherwise wouldn't have played anything. My games go places now.
