If u want to beat Melania wear good armour learn her first phase move set until u can dodge them all well. U won’t avoid all damage with mid roll for waterfall but as long as u keep ur health high u will survive it then just learn the move set for her second stage which is similar but the wings hide them a bit. Use a bolus for the rot and just persevere. Once you’ve learned the movesets you’ll eventually have an attempt good enough to defeat her. If u get tired or tilted have a 20 min rest or just leave it till the next night. If you approach it with patience u can defeat her without needing massive damage summons or mimic tear buffs debuffs etc. this applies for all the hard late game bosses. Most importantly don’t panic roll or heal and don’t get too greedy with ur attacks. Be consistent and learn the tells for each attack and only heal in the recovery animation (try not to run away from her). U don’t need amazing reflex’s just good timing is enough

I have done all of these things, even after Shadow of the Erdtree, now what? I guess…wait for the next FromSoft game.

I guarantee I can farm the crow off the ledge with a simple bow shot faster than the average player can clear the sleepers, and have more runes. I average 13k/6 seconds.
For the rune farm if you want to do it in your first play through just use the blasphemous blade and it works pretty much just as well

Fun fact with malenia roll into the dance and itll miss you. Or space yourself. Second phase start run under her then she will drop and sprint as far right as u can then the second phase aoe will miss you entirely.

i did a ng+ and i still found a bunch of things i missed the first time around which is crazy because i went though so much of the map and thought i had gotten close to everything , which is making me want to replay it even more to see how much i can find what i missed. i love this game.
finally beat the game yesterday and out of excitement started new game too early🥲 just wanted to smithing bells and see Nepheli again🥲
This game is so wierd.. i soent 150 hours going everywhere (completly missing having to press right to switch medalion so i didnt see the altus plateu. So few cutscenes and real bosses, and it felt like i was just randomly doing stuff, and the last 5 hours was just boss after boss and lots of cutscenes and i killed the final boss in 1 try. I was thinking, where the f is melania, is she after? And then the game just ended😂 150 hours of just doing small sidequests building up to something, and then just the end wtf😂 apperantly i missed alot, even tho i scoured all the places, and finished everything, except apperantly the actual questlines, because well.. no one tells you what to do or where to go for alot of them😂 gonna play a few more times to actually do the quests this time

I tried out number 9, still works 2 years later… awesome way to get runes quick
i just now beat melania (1 on 1 no summons) in ng+ after beating the entire dlc and it was so freakin hard. the only way to beat her is to overwhelm her with damage like you said AND to barely allow yourself to get hit since she regains her health when landing attacks..just incredible. for people who say consort radahn was harder than her idk what to tell you.
One of the main reasons I want to finish Elden Ring faster is because my GPU sucks a lot of power that even at 1080p, it goes around 200 watts.
