Just so you know, Mario and Luigi are canonically from Brooklyn, New York; the Brooklyn accent are their actual and original accents from the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, which is why they casted Chris Pratt and Charlie Day to voice them. If they go with the voices from the games, I feel like it’s not gonna fit; it would be kinda weird and annoying. You know, Charles Martinet was going to voice Mario in a Brooklyn accent, but he wanted to make it more kid-friendly, so he voiced him in a high-pitched Italian accent.

This is kind of video I hate seeing. Complaints that aren’t logical. Minor nitpicks that are overly hated on. What is wrong with the the theme being orchestrated it is for a movie trailer. The regular theme would sound of place in the trailer. I really hope people like this don’t ruin the movie for others. This movie will be legendary. I still wish the best for this guy and his channel.

Chris Pratt is the best choice for this role playing the voice of Mario. Illumination and Nintendo has made the right decision to bring Chris Pratt to this role. And I'm getting sick and tired of bunch of morons who have no respect for the movie or Chris Pratt. You're not a true fan of the super Mario bros movie, you just doing this for the money.
Mario is originally from Brooklyn so that explains his generic voice, Mario's voice before the one from the games was a guy with a Brooklyn accent, just look at the old Mario cartoons and the old Mario PC games, bing bing wahoo voice from the games came later for sound effects to appeal to kids not for real dialogue, that high-pitched voice would be too intolerable for a long high quality movie

If you were a kid in the early 90's, and the original Mario Movie RUINED your childhood, you couldn't understand this HYPE.
I can deal with Chris Pratt's voice, and have a theory that it'll slowly change into Charles Martinet later in the movie.
I get why people are mad about this. But fr would you rather hear a high pitch voice for 1 or 2 hours depending on the movies runtime.
Super Mario isnt suppose to be the SM 64 voice in the first place. But, they got him doing the high pitched Mario voice as taunting …you can hear it throughout which is excellent. It's like something he will be doing regularly.
I think we are over thinking about the voice to be honest. I dont want to hear high pitch SM 64 voice for the whole film.
