The only part I found annoying was getting the boss key ngl tho I did get stuck on the hidden key as had to watch a YouTube do it 😅
I feel like the only one who could not find a key for a long time because I did not notice the whole behind the chest where you get the longshot

If u did all this and still stuck: go back to Dark link. I had a save glitch which made me think I was stuck, only to find out I had to beat dark Link again, this get that missing key
Water temples are always the most tedious fvcking dungeons to play in zelda games due to the fact that they had to use water as some sort of mechanic for the dungeon. Which you, those mechanics with water theme are usually totally arbitrary and bullsht to implement.
Anyone who struggled with this dungeon, even as a kid, is beneath me intellectually. I completed it in 27 minutes as a 4 year old.
Soo uh believe it or not but that key wasn't the one I was missing it was the one behind a bombable wall I never saw for 2 years!
It was one of those movable blocks that did it for me, I did it in a wrong way and ended up locking the game, I was so tight that I had to start a new file because it saved and kept the block in place
i'm stuck in the water temple playing it on a project 64 emulator. it's hard to arrow and hookshot to the room at the same time because the aiming is weird
Meanwhile I just got stuck on the boat in the Shadow Temple.
Everyone bitching about the Water Temple but I don't hear anything about Great Bay, the true evil dungeon of all time
It's not true that that is the only clue. If you use the map you can see thats the only room that could possibly give access to the basement key
I spent a relatively good time until I was trapped looking for that key, I changed the water so many times that I ended up noticing it on accident after about 3 hours, took several attempts to beat dark link and immediately after getting the long shot, I turn around and leave the room, did more of the dungeon, got stuck and confused on how to get the last small key, 7 hours in until I find out I was supposed to use the song of time on that block you find the long shot in
It's nice that Ship of Harkinian added 1 key to the water temple and forest temple unless you get stuck
I wish I could have sympathy for this dungeon but it legit kills all momentum in every Zelda playthrough I've done. Fuck the water temple and it's stupid small key.
In the new 3Ds remake when you bring the water to the medium level it zooms the camera on the little secret room making it easier in the N64 however isn’t the case
The key i missed was the one in the drop down river after the long shot. Not sure why but i didnt see it until the end

I'm sorry but I never played Zelda and after a discussion with a friend about the water temple I was curious and really? Not finding the secret room opened when the water was raised was your issue and "millions of other players"??? 😂 Rule number one: explore EVERYTHING specially cubes that float when water levels change! (Tomb Raider I am looking at you❤).
