Wow, an even-handed review of this game? How refreshing…
This channel is so compromised. You give out easy scores just so you can cozy up to studios and developers so you keep your early access to games.
I just beat the game. I got it on black Friday and it's surprisingly short. But a lot of fun! I liked it much more than ff16 and other square Enix jrpgs I played this year
👍🏾
Overinflated score. I personally prefer games with a good story, and in this case the story is mess. I was really excited about this game but ended being disappointing. There are a lot of pacing issues with how the story is told that makes it not really engaging. This is a 6 at best.
I'm reading comments and people are really wondering why his score was so high. After playing the game myself and getting the platinum, I can tell that the reviewer actually played the game. Objectively this game is around an 8 out of 10. Subjectively, I give it a 9. It's really not as bad as reviewers made it out to be and is quite fun. I still don't agree with the dialogue thing. I have most certainly heard worse. And from a technical aspect the game runs pretty good on the PS5 except for Inner Praenost. Quite a few framerate dips in there. Years from now there's going to be plenty of "Was Forspoken really that bad?" videos floating around on Youtube.
also yeah, i agree with the score. the game is nowhere near as bad as reviewers say it is. its better than dragon age 2 and that shit got 9's all over the place. better than COD as well.
i thought the narrator had left easy allies…wtf…he back? omg
this looks REALLY good, my hype bust when i see 6 out of 10, and people saying don't buy it, but i feel alot better now that you gave it an 8, i'll definitely give it a go
8 out of ten? wtf? lol
an 8? I am intrigued! Welp, now I am more interested to see EZA address and discuss the very wide range of feedback that they will definitely get for this review in the future.
Wow someone's easily pleased.
An 8?? Ahahahahahaha
Currently playing it every night. I have a great time. It is very fun. I would rate it 8.5/10
Love the podcasts, can't take the reviews seriously.
I’ll never trust Damiani’s reviews after this. No way I’ll trust easy allies reviews again. ACG who wasn’t given a copy is who I’ll stick to exclusively for reviews from now on
I liked the trailers and videos about the game as well the gameplay aspects when I played of the demo of the game. But the steep price of 80 Euro is hard to justify given the technical issues of the release. It's not unplayable, but it should run and look much better than it does on PC. Feel sorry for the devs – and I do think people are hypercritical of the game for whatever reason – but if the game flops it's hard to deny that this is of their own making in many ways.
🤮🤮🤮
Very rare Easy Allies L. I typically strongly agree with all of your opinions, but nothing about this game looks good and certainly not worthy of an 8, maybe like half of that.
Played about 16 hours. Looks fantastic actually with hdr and the gameplay is so addicting. Like crackdown and infamous combined. So good. I like the story and characters too
I guess the brave black female protagonist couldnt get anything less than an 8.
I am unsubing after many years. I dont need USA's rotten identity politics entering my games. This grade is simply unbelievable
I just beat the game and 8 is a solid score and fair, thanks to you guys for a fair review unlike others who seemed to have a grudge with the game for some weird reason, It's sad that many gamers who trust on others reviews will not buy the game, I hope the game sells really well and the studio continue and don't end up closed by SE for the backlash reviews and sales.
You gave this game the same score than A Plague Tale: Requiem? you are crazy this monstrosity is unplayable, easily one of the worst games of the year and we are in January.🤣😂
Its obvious what went wrong with this company and staff. I hope the founder gets it together and fires everyone
Interesting one.
I still can't believe they mase Agni's Philosophy into this
Definitely might pick up on sale, im really curioous…ive been led wrong by reviewers b4 but this seemed like an honest review👌🏾
I think it is reasonable to consider the fact, that this game is setting a new standard in pricing. On Steam in EU the game has a price tag of 79.99 Euros. It should at least be mentioned. We should not accept this kind of price hike for a mediocre AAA Game. On Metacritic there is no review score for the PC version, because only the PS5 version got gifted to the reviewers. The user score for the PC version on Metacritic is 1.8. To suggest that the game gets some flag because of racial bias is insulting.
The original demo was pretty bad. I feel they really improved the game from then to release by fixing a lot of issues. The games not going to win any awards, but it really is a soild game overall. The spells are pretty satisfying, and crazy running is fun. I like the game. Its not the best game ever by any means. Seems to be getting far too much hate when many of the most popular games suffer the same issues.
Lets be real a moment. If they swaped the main character and renamed this game to be in line with a final fantasy spin-off, then ppl wouldn't be hating on it as much.
So it's a solid game so why on earth is the game getting so much hate I saw nothing here that says its a bad game, its not a masterpiece sure but it's a solid game non the less. I have a feeling I know the reason why it's getting hate but Id rather not start that debate.
Glad to see a more positive take on this game. I feel like the complaints get taken out of proportion compared to the good parts of this game. The internet frequently feels like a hive mind where a single narrative has to become the accepted one.
This seems to be one of the more accurate reviews of the game, imo. Been playing about 10 hours now, and the game is a blast. A little rough around the edges, but it's really fun and has some great potential for a sequel that sadly probably won't happen because of the frankly bizarre public reaction to the game.
Fucking hate people sometimes. This game has some great ideas in its gameplay that I'd love to see polished and expanded more in a sequel.
Not sure how much he got paid for saying this… b
