In Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s Suicide of Saul, you can clearly see what seem to be sauropods in the background. To my knowledge …

Rires. Stéph.
Thanks for sharing! At 1:39, we see a table insert in the centre. The writing it contains for me is Ummites. Strange, isn't it? So-called extraterrestrial writing on an old blackboard…. I'm not even surprised. Laughs. Stéph.
They are camels, there is no long tails .
Camels.
The first dinosaur bones were discovered in 1677, the person who found them thought they were giant humans.
There's no way someone from the 1600s could know what a dinosaur looks like, skin and all.
You would have to be an arrogant fool to believe that man only discover the fossils of dinosaurs in the past century or so.
Pretty sure the dinosaurs were around before the 16th century and man has been digging up dinosaur bones for millennia.
Actually, it is in the Kurdistan region of Iran, the name of the country is known from the newspaper
I don't think these are the artists attempt to depict camels.. they look like sauropods..
And for those of you who claim the men in the paintings would have to be giants, that's not true, not all sauropods were 100 feet long.. some were 25-30 feet long.
That's a Camel. The one farther up on the right shows a better portrayal. Dinosaur's had tails. Where's the tail. ??? It's a Camel.
Show me a camel that looks like those beasts and I’ll listen to ya. Show me a human being that freaking tall in recent history and I’ll listen to ya a bit more.
It’s actually Giants riding dinosaurs. Wake up people. This painting slipped by the Smithsonian demons.
It could alive in medival era right?
They look semi-acquatic, like the lockness monster
I saw men riding dinosaurs when I was 6. The ratio of man to dinosaur size was exactly like this. I am now 58.
lol the mainstream science papers said "this a camel with elongated neck". THIS IS A DINOSAUR! We have plenty of evidence man and big reptiles lived side by side. the artist drew these Brontosaurus correct.
Answer is wasn't painted
Is the I made a version of this painting with more dinosaurs
Looks like there are giants riding the dinosaurs
Camels I think!
The scale of the person riding the animal would be closer to it being a camel. The idea of it being a brontosaurus does relate to the scale, that’s if a brontosaurus even existed. Until a complete skeleton of a dinosaur is found, I have doubts they even existed. It’s because of constant lies & deception of all things we’ve been told that has made me skeptical of anything, anymore.
I saw a documentary showing a man’s footprints right next to mid-sized dinosaurs paw prints… They said there used to be a riverbed in that spot because of the fossilized shells they found… As it dried up many thousands of years ago, the riverbed clay turned into rock… The conclusion was that long ago man could have had Young dinosaurs as pets…
It seems that one or two species could have been non aggressive as younglings .. You know..like cows!
I’m keeping an opened mind on this picture because no one, not even science has the means disprove it! For all we know Science has been hiding a lot of discoveries from us…
That's long neck horses
You can even see the knob on top of the sauropod's head, lol it's too obvious.
Denial is a trip tho 😬
A camel neck does a u-shaped dip from the shoulders, Sauropod goes straight up — everyone who's pretending to see a camel is on bullshit 🤭
even from a distance with blurred vision, idk how ppl are seeing a camel.
Cognitive dissonance: Camels. 🐪
Others: 🤔 Sauropod? 🦕
More biblical stuff being confirmed.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
because there were dinosaurs then
I don't believe dinosaurs lived in 16th C but at least intuitively they DO NOT look like camels to me.
Paredolia – they're poorly-drawn camels.
Did they know about dinosaurs in the 1500's. If not then we might have something here
They are also in cave paintings in Africa Alexander the Great tackled a pair of dinosaurs in India just 4000 years ago. One of the old pharaohs is said to have kept one in a dungeon these creatures were on the planet at the same time as humans the fossilised footprints have been found together the British scientists were all all Freemasons and devil worshippers it is their duty to destroy religion and the Bible so they have told loads and loads of lies regarding the history of this planet
I always liked seeing things like this and trying to find where there were in the world.
It could be in Agartha, inner earth, for example mammoths are still alive in Agartha but they are much smaller
I think they're supposed to be camels. Look very carefully at their bodies. They resemble camels. Perhaps the artist had a difficult time painting camel heads.
Having a quick read around the subject just now, it seems a lot of artists had vague discriptions of animals and they would use a little guess work when creating paintings depicting exotic animals. These animals are probably camels.
Domesticated camels were introduced to Israel in 930 BC, which might indicate that at the time of the death of Saul in 1010 BC, that camels could not have been present. However, it's widely agreed that the 930BC date is accurate, although It's possible that the bible mentions the presence of camels at this time, but the bible was written much later. Anyway, ultimately, the artist is maybe using the biblical text in order to guesstimate the presence of camels which he was to paint with a vague description in his mind.
Also, consider the size of the painting and the detail allowed for images in the background. The painting was 33.5 cm x 55 cm. So not huge.
I would suggest that Bruegel popped a couple of camels in the background using his limited knowledge of how they looked and small enough not to worry too much about microscopic detail.
Also, I find the notion that a sauropod would happily traipse around Israel with a giant riding on it's back, a little fantastical. The only thing I know about these guys is that they lived near coastlines rich in vegetation and because their heads were tiny in comparison to their body, they had to spend an awful lot of time eating; hardly practical if you want to travel from a to b.
…not dinosaurs 🤣🤣 its a painting of camels drawn by an artist with no first hand experience of what they looked like so it's slightly anatomically inaccurate …
Camels.
Camels
looks like camels to me .. but that s just me !
Could be a bad painter; their camels?
dromedary. Please excuse. Hello from Sweden
fine wine Oakland calif.usa JUST LONG NECK CAMELS BUT HOW BIG ARE THE RIDERS???
I thought dinosaur bones weren't discovered until the late 17th century
Maybe how he thought camels looked like.
The painter was a dinosaur
Camels…
