Following its siblings, the S25 Ultra and vanilla S25, today it’s time for the Galaxy S25+ to be portrayed in the first ever leaked renders. These are CAD-based so fine details may be inaccurate, keep that in mind, but the overall gist of the design is what we’re going to get come January.
And it’s definitely boring. Sure, it’s instantly recognizable as a Samsung, which is good for the Korean company’s brand recognition, but the problem (which isn’t new at all) is that it looks just like any Samsung. Maybe the flagship line shouldn’t share design cues with phones costing $200?
Samsung definitely doesn’t agree. What we’re looking at is mostly the same design, just improved here and there. The bezels are thinner, the camera rings are slightly different, undoubtedly the colors will change, maybe the texture on the back is going to be different, the frame is flatter, and that’s it.
This is definitely not one for those who prefer outlandish, never-before-seen designs. According to a previous rumor, the S25+ will also share its battery with its predecessor, stuck at 4,900 mAh so as not to infringe upon the almighty Ultra which itself is stuck at 5,000 mAh.
The S25+ will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC which is due to be announced in October. Some markets may get Samsung’s Exynos 2500 instead (or not). The phone should get 12GB of RAM and maybe even 256GB of base storage. Fingers crossed.
It’s going to have the same display size as the S24+. The S25+ will measure 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm, which makes it marginally less tall, less wide, and thinner than the S24+.
According to the source of these renders, the S25 family won’t be made official before January 10, and the unveiling will happen at some point around mid-January.
