Great tips bud. Thank you 👊
Great advice thanks!!🙏
Excellent tips on learning!
It’s hard to adapt to this playstyle coming from bloodborne where aggressiveness is key
10 Minutes and I learned a lot more then over 3 Years Dark Souls Experience
I’ve been having to much of a easy time with my op character in Elden ring so now I’ve respeced to having 15 vigor to give me a challenge this is helpful
Late reply since just fall in love with ER eventhough i get this at launch. Now i player SpearShield Pure STR and Pure Faith. Both are great but i failed to build a melee with no shield. With this video, i can now do dodge not just to avoid damage but also looking for windows for attacking.TQ
I have a very bad habit of being extremely aggressive, a bad habit from monster hunter. I’ll take everything I learned in this video and apply it to my game play, being new to soul games on NG+3 With the damage increase I have to calm the hell down I’m not him yet 😂
Name of the song by the end of the vid @7:00
I just got the game a few months ago and, honestly, this is the best advice and has changed how I played the game. Thank you so much for making this video. (If anyone doubts it, try it with low-level regular enemies first)
Only hit them once isn't necessarily true. It's better to say know how many hits you can land in an attack window. Often it's one hit, but if an enemy has done a slow, heavy attack, then two or three light attacks, or one heavy attack can work.
These are my two biggest pitfalls. Consider me called out. Now, I get to try to fight my instinct to mash R1.
I've watched HOURS of video trying to improve at this game, this has been the best one by far
Working out which attacks are weaker so u can exchange hits will help if ur using a heavy weapon and looking to stagger as hit windows are so small for that build
The best tip you can give someone is to tell them to get gud. Cant believe you missed that one.
Well this helped me a lot with the dlc final boss… first fase, once he got his backpack it’s just fucking gold light nonsense party for me. I have no idea.
Treat healing like attacking
This man just took four words to make me a 5x better player
Best tip: Don't be greedy
Top tier video @Thingfishy. Nice work.
dear god… are elden ring youtubers worse than destiny 2 youtubers? jeeeeeeesus i was hoping for a breath of fresh air instead of utter crap every video….
The fire giant grinds my gears
The problem is when the 1 hit window on the expansion bosses is .10 of a second for the 1 hit, and it is easy to say this when it is a swing, but try that using magic jejejeje
I’m so glad I thought to look up “ Tips on dodge in Elden ring” great video & great comments. Love the knowledge, appreciate all of you. I’m new to the Elden ring scene, had no idea how much of a learning curve it can be. All the more, it’s been the most enjoyable gaming experience I’ve had in some time.
i was to greedy. even tho i played through darksouls 3 almost without deaths.. in eldenring i just played 25 hours and i use the Greatsword now with role slash.. first try after watching this video. Remembered me 🙂 thanks buddy nice tipps
very good tips brother!Literally what went in my head after getting to DLC bosses, that the true way to play!
Just be a mage. Problem solved. You're welcome.
Don't be greedy = take your time
Nice advice!! I just started playing Elden ring and already defeated margit but my dodge game need some work 🤦🏾.
Incredible.. this literally changed everything
Yes bro 1 hit seems lot better thanks a lot!!!
This is a really good video.
Just beat the stone crushing troll while watching this, that tip about “one-hit window” “two hit window” really helped
Absolutely helpful and insightful tips for not only souls games but also other games like monster hunter
Well, this is really helpful. Def. one of the most important ER tips videos I've come across, and I search for them all the time. It's trully inspiring. Thanks for spreading the knowledge!
Playing aggressive doesn't work 😅
Awesome video. I've beaten the game already but trying to git even guder for a pure strength bonk bonk build without much magic and trying to avoid spirit summons (I only ever play offline.) Samurai was my starter for first playthrough and it was a lot of fun
Who cares?
Best advice. You really don’t learn there attack patterns until you stop attacking.
Great stuff this!
the only hit them once section was so motivational lol
Great guide. Would love for you to do a guide explaining when to dodge ans when to parry. Currently playing my first Souls like in lies of P. I'm hooked and looking to play many more. Learning when to dodge/parry is what is holding me back currently
The best tip that helped me was lock the target before engaging… 😂
This might seem like a stupid question, but do you roll to dodge every attack?
I ask having come from Sekiro where some attacks require a jump to avoid, others need a step dodge and others a counter parry.
When I get greedy, which leads me to death, I say out loud “ respect the game, Sean!” It’s actually made me a much better player.
I spent 3 hours fighting tree sentinel and died 100+ times, this helps a lot.
