I enjoyed the game but the biggest issue for me was that the generation that grew up to love Harry Potter are in their 30s and 40s yet they made this game more for children. They couldve made the game harder and darker for adults. I guess they tried to capture that childhood magic once more but it coulve been a mix of both.

This is a game for kids and for nostalgia. You're playing a child in their 5th year of wizarding school. They're not a level 85 Master warlock who've devoured hundreds of souls. Of course they only have a few spells. The game does exactly what it should. It creates an environment to be immersed in to feel like a student at Hogwarts. It's open world, but it's not an epic D&D adventure. It's kids.
Way too tame and annoying puzzles.
Copious amounts of PC, horrid flight controls, lack of world interactivity and bland NPC's aside, it's not terrible for a modern AAA game. Not good enough to really suck me in, but I might be able to squeeze 30 hours out of it. Maybe.
Why the hate for J.K. Rowling? if not for her hogwards, or Harry Potter would not exist. I don't understand.

Well ive just bought it on steam.. its crashed twice on the mapping shaders screen, but once in the game.. I've got as far as fighting the knights in gringots vault 12 .. and im bored.. i died once.. and its mind numbingly boring.. the menu system is a console game and while the acting is good.. its just too hand holding and simplistic. ive decided to refund.. and get Balders Gate 3.. its just not my kind of game..

I ran this game on a 1080ti ok with ultra, i do have a 3900x ryzen 9 with 12 cores though. I did get stutters now and then, but it depends on when i load the game. I did find the game limiting and free at the same time. Did i enjoy the game? Ye i did, i had great fun, i did not give a toss about the J K Rowling (she is right) row, who cares if some people did not want to play it because the author thought women are women. I am not into Harry Potter, never read the books, however i have some seem the movies (mostly). i am more a lord of the rings type of games and movies. The game, the story was great, the open wold was great but i found the quest to few, and the map a bit small. Stil great game and a great platform for the series to jump off from.

When you play through the game being treated & thinking youre a proper goodie & then you realise that you burgled every house in the area, stole their money, their items, their clothes, looted all sorts of treasures & relics, trapped or killed loads of animals, killed countless people….and used all the unforgivable curses. Oops.

I’ve only ever seen the first film and that was years ago back when it first came out I can’t remember it I don’t know anything about the stories I couldn’t care less. It just looks interesting magical game to me. I’m probably not going to buy it because it’s too expensive.

after 30hrs,,casual,, im bored. its just a bit dull. I have it on ultra with FSR on and im getting average 105 fps so it runs well but its just repetitive and unexciting. It just doesnt pull you in after a while. I think they also make games easy as people must have short attention spans as there is no difficulty in finding things at all as the game just tells you. shame really.

Bought it. Played it for a couple of hours. Asked for a refund. And I adore the Harry Potter franchise. It's just a 'go here, do this'-game in a plastic but nice looking world.
a real RPG dont need that "x-ray-vision" agree 100%!! it totaly spoils the adventure feel and lust for exploring… f*cking hate it.
