As much as I realize that the screen resolution plays a factor, as well as the size, as far as power goes, I just don't think mobile devices are there yet. Technically, the Ally is better, but at the expense of battery, it also has some drawbacks from my experience with optimisation that puts it realistically on par with the steam deck.

I really love the Steam Deck and I enjoy playing on it. It almost replaced my gaming PC. There are lots of games that run perfectly fine on it (e.g. RDR2 and Hogwarts Legacy) but BG3 unfortunately isn't one of them. It looks and performs like sh*** on the Deck. It's a shame it got the Steam Deck verification tag.

BG 3 is the first game which I have stopped playing on Steam Deck because of the poor performance and bad look. I didn;t want to ruin amazing game experience and will be looking forward for the better hardware to come and to enjoy the game in its full potential.
Turn off fsr. It is a sin in this game.

how did you capture the screen for the handhelds? it looks like you just scaled the hendheld window into a higher frame for the video which would let them look way worse than they actually look

The Ally is such a powerful Handheld: Played BG3 with mid-high Settings on 900p on my TV on Splitscreen. With 37-50fps such great!

Lol you are running Asus Ally at ultra (30w) mode which eat battery
Theres quite a few in game settings that can be tweaked to make the steam deck look a lot better in hand held, especially with TAA on.
Yeah at this point I'm just gonna use my deck as a backlog burner and probably play some indie games that are not too heavy on the graphic😂

Haven't yet played the game and because of the pixel mess on the steam deck I haven't realised that's it's actually a musical instrument on his back and not some random rugs/clothes

I will say the 4K gamer Pro looked awful. All it did was provide an over sharpened picture that looked like crap. Raw ROG ally looked significantly better. Would of been even better to have just used 4K and then adjusted the resolution scale
Even more reason why to throw consoles in the trash.

Low settings with fsr ultra quality (360p) on the deck and (720p) on the ally on those handhelds just look bad ngl. You can see the fuzzines and blur even on a phone. These handhelds need to be faster and a lot more power efficent. If a switch 2 had this performance it would be laughed at. Not even native 1080p. Even on the 700 dollar handheld.
