Acording to one episode of a TV program called "Encontros Imediatos EP02 (RTP)" here in Portugal we had a similar event that accured in November, 2, 1959 in a city called Évora but it was with a jellyfish type ufo hovering above the city. This is the translation of an article that came out in one of our newspapers and the link to that episode below.

"The mystery of the UFO incident here in Portugal in which an unknown microorganism was discovered. On November 2, 1959, Joaquím Guedes do Amaral, director of the School of Industry and Commerce of Évora, was working when one of his colleagues noticed an unusual object floating in the sky. Half an hour later, another UFO in the shape of a jellyfish appeared in the sky. This object "wobbled" for a while and then began to move rapidly across the sky, stopping from time to time. Finally, it stopped for a long time, hovering in the air for about half an hour before moving away. As the "jellyfish" flew away, rare white strands, called "star jelly" or "angel hair," began to fall from the sky. After that, the entire area where the wires fell was flooded by the military, who evacuated the residents as if there was a biological threat of contamination.

The wires decomposed very quickly when they reached the ground, but some samples were collected and then transferred to experts for study. The samples were said to have a very fragile structure.

Amaral was one of those brought to the University of Lisbon to study these samples, discovering early in a sample "a single-celled organism, possibly some type of microbe with unknown characteristics".

Amaral contacted other scientists and showed them the mysterious creature, with which they later carried out several tests. Consequently, the following conclusion was issued: "The Évora microorganism was approximately 4 mm in size and consisted of tentacles. In laboratory tests, it actively exhibited protective reactions against test plates. Additional studies have shown that their tentacles can withstand pressures of up to 350 grams.

At the beginning of the observation, it had different colors. The central body was yellow, the tentacles were dark red, and then the colors changed, giving an increasingly darker brownish-yellow.

The tentacles were made up of parallel filaments held together by a jelly-like substance. Each strand was transparent. Inside, small bodies that grew over time could be seen.

To create a perfectly defined contact line, the wires were projected tightly onto a glass plate. In the center of the central body was a mouth-shaped opening surrounded by several very thin patterns, which are probably folds or cracks. The observations were carried out for 2 years, until the tentacles and the central body of the organism gradually disintegrated."

One of the most popular assumptions about the nature of this creature is that it is just a small jellyfish. However, none of the jellyfish known to science fit the characteristics of the creature from Évora and, in fact, some researchers have openly said that this creature has a "strange shape, completely unknown to terrestrial biology" and that "it may be the first evidence of extraterrestrial life to be discovered.

However, it has also been hypothesized that this creature belongs to extremophiles that have not yet been discovered by science, living in the Earth's atmosphere.

Extremophiles is the collective name for living beings capable of living and reproducing in extreme environmental conditions. Among extremophiles, for example, are the famous tardigrades, capable of withstanding incredible overloads, falling into suspended animation for many years, etc.

The TR3B is supposed to be anti gravity propulsion which as I understand as it pulls the ship through the atmosphere or whatever the state of matter is rather than thrust which is what most planes jets etc use.
