"NO JANK"?? did you actually play the entire game becuae its a buggy mess with hidde3n walls and a terrible hit detection! id go as far as to say its broken as you cannot use items like potions or even healing whilst in combat! you hit the button and NOTHING!
So it’s Elden ring with less content and different controls but the same price lol
Hey, do you westerners think Chinese are too sensitive and too emotional?
Look at it this way, the famous steamers like xQc, penguinz0, DrDisRespect and Asmongold said Wukong is their GOTY too
Hall Michelle Rodriguez Carol Moore Donna
absolutely 9/10
you only played less than 1/3 of the game that why feel good.
i pre-ordered this game, finished hidden ending in last week. feels
visual / art direction are top class;
chinese voice acting & OST are nice. english ver still good, but translation…;
storyline split into disconnected chapters, if not know the novel clearly, characters, locations, enemies, items, etc would become confuse. turns 二郎神 into Naruto style giant monster fight is bad;
developer doesn't mention storyline are based on fan fiction: 悟空傳 & its previous game: 鬥戰神, but promote in the name of Journey to the west, i.e lie advertising.
trailer & painting in the end of each chapter are cool, but in different style. good for promote china but bad for overall game style;
hints for hidden stuff, map, boss are unclear, some even in encyclopedia which show after finished that hidden boss (i.e. useless);
combat is mediocre to weak, can't rebind buttons, control feels slow respond, no indication for attack from side or rear, no bow or spell to kill far distance enemies efficiency, weak & 3nos. strong attack combo get bored very quick, especial i meet final boss (Wukong). spells/skills are boring. summon skill just replay the animation of captured enemies, armor leveling makes the buff meaningless to player unless forged it to max, etc;
boss actually is repeated since ch2, but developer change 3d model and weapon it holds, so you feel lots of unique bosses;
map design is terrible: linear part full of invisible walls; no indication in open area, always get lost. could feels rush/no budget in chapter 5, 6;
overall is a DmC / GoW style acting game rather than soul-like (only high damage + long combo boss). unless want 100% achievements, no replay value as ARPG games.
I agree it is a good game, their next game must be better too.
However, if put away 中國情懷, BMWukong only visual up to AAA level, totally overrated by chinese players.
Gay game dam, gaming is a mess, gay gamers = gay games
This game has absolute blocking! But this requires skill ~ light and heavy stick

Just finished Ch1 and I can say it’s a GoW and a Souls-like hybrid.. game is fun, visually stunning and best of all a complete package, like good gaming I grew up up with, and not agendas shoves down my throat. Solid 9.5 for me, reason I can’t give it a 10 are. 1-No side quests thus far 2)no map.
Should be overwhelmingly bad.
This game is overrated. Combat is lackluster just like all souls like games, with it using graphics/visuals as a crutch.
Sorry but westerners don't have enough brain to understand the layers of meanings and lessons the developer put into this game. That is why they did not mention anything about the meaning after each chapter because they have zero idea……
A boring chinese shit
'A game that you never have ads'
Well.. just Elon Musk said, "Go F**k yourself ads'
It's pretty clear that the soulslike influence is the camera work, presentation, theatrics, and the placement of the UI elements. It is annoying to hear people calling it a soulslike for what's basically just window dressing, but it's also a little egregious constantly hearing people insist it isn't a soulslike either.
It's absolutely more like Nioh than anything else, and that's just heavily souls-inspired but doesn't strictly follow the formula either.
I don't understand why it's that hard for westerners to understand the agreement GS required for reviewing their game (tho currently not yet confirmed by GS whether the agreement exsited or not). It's just like the agreement before you play any games, if you agree with it, you can play it, if not, you can't. If you want to bring up anything with politics or smear their game due to faulse informations or biased opinions about their country, then you don't get the early access to review the game. It is very simple and straightforward. Just admit it and accepted it or you are not invited. (edited for typo)
How many reviews are in Chinese though? 😉
Stik Monke brings me joy
As Chinese,WUKONG is my hero from my childhood,now I am 39.
WUKONG called himself the Monkey King(Chinese original text'QI TIAN DA SHENG',means as high as the sky) and was free-spirited, fighting against the corrupt world of heaven and earth.
Most Chinese have seen the 1986 version of 'Journey to the West',The theme song of the game is from the 1986 TV series.
Every time I hear the music'YUN GONG XUN YIN',it's so alert and makes you want to fight.
I'm so glad to see WUKONG in a AAA game and people enjoy my hero's adventure.
great arts
The reason it's breaking records is because it's probably the only game in history that meets both these conditions: it appeals to the Chinese market (for obvious reasons), which is gigantic, and most importantly, it's ALLOWED in the Chinese market, which not many Steam games are.
Now many Chinese people are arrogant because of this game and openly say things that look down upon TSMC. They are like the arrogant Sun Wukong in the Journey to the West story who challenged Buddha. Is there any Chinese who plays this game not using chips produced by TSMC?
The amount of arts they put into this game is insane… and i feel a lot of the gamers were focusing on fighting bosses, hardly stop and look around for a moment…They forgot journey to the west is about the journey, not the west…😊
I think its above average. I just believe western gamers are sick of AAA delivering trash wrapped in Christmas wrapper and being filled with microtransanctions.
By the way if you explore the collection dairy, you will find that each Yaoguai in the game are taken from folklores and have their own stories. Super rich content!b
Yeah, if you support chinese games you are the problem.
Zero originality and boring combat. I'll pass. Beware of the hype.
Im on a 4090 with the latest intel chip and originally the game wouldnt work at all however after i flashed my BIOs it ran perfectly fine, i was also having issues with Ghost of Tsushima which was also corrected and infact it now runs better.
game over hyped. i played it boring but good graphice
