Are you buying Sonic Frontiers and on Which System? Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5 or Xbox Series?
The story is poor at explaining what happened.
Imagine saying that Mania is a good game and that Sonic's history has been spotty when he has always released better, more consitant and more polished games ESPACIALLY 3D games than your favourite mid plumber that you like to suck on. Keep coping Nitnendo faboys lol Sonic was always better.
Imagine if Sonic frontiers had a 9 gig patch like Spyro Reignited Trilogy or Hogwarts Legacy. That would have made run sooo much better.
It looks fun, but as an old lady in my 30s, it just has too many controls. I couldn't do it.
I already have sonic frontiers on my Xbox series s, but I'm planning on getting it for switch just because the fact I will be able to bring it with me.
Sonic's deserved better for so many years now, I can't wait to pick up Frontiers.
I've loved watching your content over the years…but I have to say I've noticed that at the end of almost every sentence in most videos, it seems like your voice falls off, like maybe your running out of breath.
It could be you're altering your head voice by forcibly making it sound lower by constricting your vocal chords, or by using a filter during editing, but i find myself having to use captions to watch your videos just to understand many times what your saying.
Generally your main points are are the end of each sentence, which loose most of their punch because of a lack of clarity and/or projection.
Please don't take this as an attack. I'm a fan of your work. I just don't want to see what might be the best Zelda content on YouTube being muddied up by a simple fix in your recording/editing process .
For me Frontiers is an 8/10, i am having too much with it and i haven't had this much fun with a 3D Sonic since Colors on Wii and SA2: Battle on Gamecube.
Is it true that you have to find the Chaos Emeralds again and again across each sub-island?
If so, I find that quite irritating.
Just like when I played Four Swords Adventures: I really disliked having to power up the Four Sword EVERY TIME that I moved to a new area in game.
So the message I got from all these reviews is, it's worth getting but wait for it to go on sale

Community have different feelings about this game some like it some don't
What happened to the new Sonic Timeline with Frontiers? Bring it back!
You can't criticize cyberspace controls while the gameplay behind it shows a clear lack of understanding. While boosting you can't turn as tight. If you are going too wide, let go and re-boost to turn immediately. The controls aren't as good as generations or unleashed but git gud dude
This is just an opinion, so don't attack me. While I'll admit that Sonic Frontiers is a good game, it's still not a good "mainline" game; bottom line, it's just another boost game that once again fails to follow the gameplay formula established by both the classic games and the adventure games.
I believe the removal of drifting is actually a good thing, especially with Sonic's crazy tight turning speed in this game.
It's a way to tell players "Hey, you don't need to rely on drifts to make these turns and reach those S-ranks."
Pay attention to the level design, master Sonic's controls, and get a big creative, and you can blitz through stages like never before in the boost era.
The cyberspace level design is effectively a hybrid between the best aspects of boost and adventure design philosophies; the streamlined tracks of boost era, with the branching and shortcut-potential of adventure era. And so far in my experience, no level showcases this better than 2-6.
>It has plenty of alternate routes.
>The level is boost-friendly without becoming "boost-to-win"
>The level is long enough that the S-rank time is 2 minutes 25 seconds, but…..
>There's so many opportunities for those thrilling, risky shortcuts of the adventure era, that I've so far been able to cut my time to around 1 minute 45 seconds, with room to improve still.
Wait, this is an actual good 3d sonic game????? But, that never happened.
Sonic Frontiers is the best Sonic game in the entire franchise!
This game in it of itself is a masterpiece regardless of Sonic games!
The open world is so fun to explore and you can run freely and platform at full speed and fight enemies, bosses and Titans, it's so fun!
You can also combat and fight a lot of unique enemies and bosses, and unlock a lot of new combat moves and skills, at the skill tree!
You can also upgrade Sonic, you can upgrade his strength, speed, ring capacity and defense!
The story is the best out of the whole franchise, and the voice acting is very good, Roger Craig Smith did an amazing job as the voice of Sonic!
The music in this game is incredible and it's the best music in the entire franchise!
The Super Sonic fights against the Titans were amazing and some of the best fights in a video game!
10/10
It’s trash.
This game's underdog arc is great to see. When it was revealed, I was one of the many who dismissed it as trash. I am so happy to be proven wrong and to be having an absolute blast playing.
There's still room for improvement, but I think this is a tremendous step in the right direction and a much needed breath of fresh air for the series. I can't wait to see this style of Sonic evolve.
If you like games that are made by people not Nintendo might be worth investing in a different system also lol
I have just ordered this on PS5. It will be the first Sonic game I have bought since Sonic Heroes on the PS2 which made never want to touch a 3D Sonic again for a longtime. I have never really bothered with the 3D Sonic era other than Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, but I felt quite excited for this one so I bit the bullet.
Looks like unfinished hot garbage
This game it's just another Sonic game yet people should not be confused to put this in the lines of Sonic Adventure storyline
From clips I’ve seen the true final boss that is unlocked in hard mode looks insanely difficult.
I'm disappointed it didn't feature a city at all. I hate that sage is the only human featured in this game (or at least human looking)
Cool the fps is awesome
Good review, thank you. Was trying to decide what to get this on. I have PS5 and switch OLED. I love them both. I am on my switch undocked seemingly a lot more. I think I will try this one out on the switch despite the frame rate.
I’m just happy to hear the game isn’t terrible
Definitely on a sale in a year or more on PS whatever.
The game got stuck in a scene… Didn't expect that
Thanks for the review. I’ll be saving my money because this game looks like another 3D Sonic game that looks cool but is boring as watching the grass grow.
I have always loved Sonic ever since I was a kid but I was always really bad at the games. So I stop getting them but this game looked so cool. So I wasn't too sure whether to get this game. Any thoughts?
So I bought this for PS5 and Swtich and man, I don’t even know why SEGA keep bothering with switch ports it’s almost like a different game get the next gen version if you can
This is honestly the first sonic game I have enjoyed since sonic and the Black Knight…
