In 1987 I was at an area adjoining a Deep Freeze base for transit too and from US Antartica Base. The adjoining area was temporarily declared US Territory by armed US Military personnel when they walked into an area of that airport where I was sitting alone. I was allowed to remain seated in room after I explained that I was an hour early to pick up a passenger just after midnight. But I was told I could remain, but not engage with anyone. So I sat quietly in corner of this airport lounge. 50 odd people came through doorway, all speaking in US accents. However 2 figures fully enclosed in Silver coloured balloon like coveralls were whisked through at speed. So why mention this now, 36 years later. I knew something was really odd then and even now I know what I saw. So something is going on in the Antartic and I’m a realist.
