Midra is very scary
The thing I find so disturbing about the Frenzied Flame is that it is appealing. Like Midra is straight up elegant and almost angelic, Shabiri is one of the most honest and forthright characters in the whole game, Hyetta seems completely genuine about agreeing the philosophical side of the FF. Like it wouldn't be that hard to get sold on the FF especially when you realize it doesnt want power for powers sake, it legit just thinks its goal is correct and knows that the other outer gods will inevitably create the optimal conditions for it to do what it wants eventually.
One of my favourite Dullahan boss battles.

"Enough i have endured … More than enough…" The depth of these simple words… the tone of Midra's voice, captures almost perfectly the prolonged suffering to which he has been subjected and in the end, for a moment, he achieves everything that his most precious being longed for. What a great game Elden Ring is.
This feat alone shows the tarnished scales higher the you think, he defeated a being who got his powers from a primordial being.

So the Borderlands PR team argument actually holds up to this fight. A lot of previous titles, and even the base game for Elden Ring, had the quintessential "Forgive me, Zanzibart" character. My first time fighting him I snickered when he said this and then I was enraptured by a videogame character that perfectly embodied madness and gave me a new favorite music score.
I love how most of his moves after the cutscene are disturbing yet graceful, but he also can just quickly jab you with the spike that broke off. If he still had a mouth, he’d probably make a noise like “nyeh” when he does it
The soundtrack has no business being that good
the way you play this game is pathetic. If you want to showcase bosses then you need to show everything about the fight. Not just rush your way through it so you can upload this before anyone else
What if instead of Midra his name was Freakra and instead of being crazy he was freaky 😳

I was kinda hoping this would be Goldmask's boss form if you fight him.
A sword with an absolute shit-tier ash of war that has nothing to do with frenzy flame. The spell we get is not the frenzy flame nuke or the cyclops continuous eye beam. Instead they give us the crappiest weapon in existence and pair it with the shittiest spell in existence. A spell that is a copy paste of other spells in the game and does even less damage.
They do this while making one of the coolest bosses. FromSoftware has got to be the most autistic studio history will ever experience. I never had to call something “ludicrously stupid” until now, and I live in Florida.

The OST reminds me so much of Bloodborne. Which is fitting, since "madness" is one of the main themes of the game.

FS was making a statement when they had Midra impaling his own hand while withdraw8ng the sword. The pain a normal person would've felt in their hand didn't even register for Midra because of the level of torture he's endured up too that point which is evident when you see every barb of that sword mpaling every part of his torso and sticking out off his skull. Who knows how centuries or even millennia been impaled with the Sword of Damnation. It was apparently bad enough that he was to tear, not cut, his own head off just to get the sword out
The soundtrack bit at 1:58 is so majestic
I hate delayed attacks but at the same time they're easier to dodge once you get used to the patterns.
The relief from removing that blade – and his head – must have felt like popping the biggest zit in existence.

Just so you all know that despite him being the weakest lord, he was already burning the room around. Let's say in an alternate timeline, the tarnished failed right. This guys power would slowly accumulate over time to actually destroy the world. And by destroy, I mean destroy. So, in the second phase, when the music is basically telling us. He cannot leave the room, otherwise he will destroy everything and anything. It really makes you think if the weakest flame of frenzy in its infancy could do this. How power must we be as we are pretty fit to be lord of frenzy flame.
