Just played through it and even though $70 for the original price was a lot, they really did remaster the whole game from the ground up. It looks great and one of my favorite games of all time. I got it for about $30 on sale I think.

Is $70 a lot of money for many people? I work in software and $70 isn’t something we would really even consider. It’s a tiny amount. What matters is whether it’s worth my *time*, which matters a lot more to people like me than a trifling amount of money.

What actually is the issue here?if you want to pay for the PS5 version, then why not? If you don't, then it's no big issue.You all have free will,choices to make in life,make up your own mind when you are spending this kind of money for basically a game you played before,if you are new to the game then you are in for a treat,as far as I'm concerned if my PS3 and PS4 decided to malfunction then I MIGHT BUY the game,but to be honest nothing can ever replace that special time in my life when I first played this masterpiece.

i never played the original but just decided to roll with the remastered instead. as much as the new one looks amazing, i really saw no point in my broke self spending money on a game i technically have for free just for visual enhancements. was still a dope experience playing the remastered. but for those who have the money, i totally get it
