And the profile Photo? Is not necessarly?
Oh no, 2 columns. AI scanners will pass over, according to the "experts."
What font do you use? Thanks man.
what about having a video resume instead of a sheet ? is it better ? or too complicated to be seen ?
Aye Ball State Grad same years! Subbed.
Thank you so much for this sir, 😊
is having multiple pages CV good or bad?
I went to UNI for mediamatics and cultural heritage. The problem with this is that it doesnt cover that I have majored in graphic design. That I took classes where I did stop motion videos, learned how to use photoshop, illustrator, indesign, premiere and after effect. It doesnt show that I did journalist work, that I made short videos, did audio editing and learned how to stand infrond of a crowd and present stuff in limited time. Most people dont know what mediamatics IS and the cultural heritage was there just because students could also take classes in book printing archive keeping and just history classes. (Like I took art history) How do I explain this without writing too much?
I went to Ball State. I sent you an email and would love to connect.
I agree that the portfolio is more important than a resume. However, many job application portals require a cover letter as well. I never know what to write on these. Could you make a video on this topic? Specifically for graphic designers.
What fonts are used in the resume?
What about those of us who are older than 60 – I can't imagine putting mid-1980s college graduation dates in this youth-centric environment.
Can you please tell me the font name?
What Font Did you Use ????
This is off the shelve template style.. I personally don't like it.
Question if anyone can answer: I JUST graduated and the only experience I have in design is my school projects. I've worked non design related jobs all my life so should I use those instead?
Thank you Spencer for making this video. Can you also make a video on Cover Letter?
I'm ALWAYS refreshing my resume, updating it, proofreading it, and making little tweaks. This was reinforcing and very helfpul. Thanks for this video!
Curious as to how you would bring up work that you’ve done for a company you worked for but we’re not allowed to use for your portfolio. I have worked for a few company’s for a 2 – 3 year period and have nothing in my portfolio to show for it due to those kinds of restrictions. I have great references from those places, but no portfolio work showing what I did for those companies.
this is great
Thank you, this was really helpful as I'm currently in the process of updating everything. It's been 10 years and I feel rusty but It seems like I'm on the right tack. The only question I have is I don't have as much web or Ui/ Ux and motion graphics experience and I really wish I did because the design industry is going that direction and print is less and less. I love packaging but that's very niche so its harder to get into. Do you have any recommendations on how to get started with learning that stuff and beefing up your skills on a budget while unemployed? Lol
all have is education no work experience what to do?
'Crop Talk' not "Crop Talk" unless Crop Talk said, "Crop Talk".
I studied Biology but my experience and proficency is Motion design , shall i mention that ! please answer me asap
The thing with references for me is that, if I am a good employee, my boss may not want to lose me. Why would he or she give me a good reference?
What should a freelancer write ?! Do i just point my projects & the dates i did them ?
This video is perfect, man. Thank you very much.
I arrived in Canada two weeks ago, and I'm starting to build my resume.
I have a long career as a motion designer in my country, but I still don't have references here. Do you have any tips on how to fix this part?
Thank you very much, and congrats on your content.
Subscribed Bro👍
Ooo we finished with the same gpa
this was incredibly helpful, thank you!
Can you please provide that resume template
Thankyou, this is very helpful🙏
What experience should I list if I have none? I did an MA in graphic design, should I list skills I obtained or projects I worked on?
Hey what font did you use/if you have any other recommendations too?
I always knew that bar scale shit was a garbage idea for a resume.
Thank you so much for this helpful video! Recommendations for best places for design portfolio or website builders?
thank you!
Great video! Thank you 🙂
Can somebody tell me if there's a FREE alternative of microsoft word and adobe indesign where I can make creative graphic design resumes on?
Needed this! 🤗
