One thing I will say is that multiple stuns do help the combos a lot
You levitate one dude and give him the 1 2 3 basic shots, then pull him closer with the other spell and hit him with the fire spell for big damage, then by that point the levitation spell has cooled off again and you can hit him with the 1 2 3 a second time.
I quite enjoyed it, felt like a freestyle rythm game

Rowling is fine and the flak she's getting is undeserved. Her opinions are all very bland and in line with >90% of all feminists prior to 2010ish. Excluding the tr@ns is not radical, including them is. She has not changed, and frankly most of society hasn't either, just a lot of people have been scared into submission by the vitriol and hate coming from that group and their supporters. And the fact that Rowling got so much hate is due to the fact that most of the alphabet soup was diehard HP fans about a decade ago and they view her being utterly stationary in her correct beliefs is somehow a betrayal. I'm not even a HP fan because I advanced beyond a 4th grade reading level, but I commend her stones for holding a sensible position and refusing to back down in spite of the attacks and defamation she's taken, and it's a damn shame that Yahtzee, a person i have some shreds of admiration and respect for, felt the need to attack her over nothing

I’ve always wondered why people gas this game up so much. It just looks like a basic open world game with a well made HP skin. Is brand recognition that strong?
JK Rowling's opinions seem very logical to me and the outcome she's aiming for makes sense. I don't think she's a cunt for her opinions at all. In fact I'm impressed that she is willing to put herself out there and defend her views.

Ya know, if they had just made “Bully” from the PS2 but with magic abilities I honestly think we would have had a much better game. Or if they had made a Persona game but at Hogwarts with real time combat it would have been better. Or if they had made a Metroidvania where you’re discovering an abandoned Hogwarts years later and you have to slowly explore and open up the castle as you battle with the horrifying monsters within. There were multiple gameplay styles they could have done but they instead picked the generic Jiminy cockthroat model and I hate them for it.

Before anyone scolds me for airing out all of this here, yes, I am aware that this is a Wendy’s (translation: “I know this is a game review, not a criticism of Rowling.”)
I practically grew up with Harry Potter. Had a lot of the books, saw all the movies, got merch galore, all that. I’ll be damned if finding out about Rowling being a TERF hasn't soured my views of her considerably. I have to REALLY separate the art from the artist at this point. Problem there is that she and her work are so closely intertwined that nothing short of the Yamato will separate them (DMCV players will get it). Just to give an example that people have likely noticed at this point: in this series, the bank is run by short, greedy creatures with hooked noses and pointed ears. I’m sure I don’t need to explain the stereotype that this refers to. While that doesn't have to do with being a TERF so much as being a racist, and while you may not notice at first, it's definitely a bit of “Fridge Horror.” Having said all of this, I might still play this one day. As it stands, though, I prefer “Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.”
Yahtzee's got his knickers in a real twist. Or maybe he's just throwing someone to the wolves so that they can feast on her and spare him… for the moment.

Gosh, this game is crap. The mediocrity even rivals ubisoft's shitty open world games. Speaking about ubisoft, can we please stop copying ubisoft's template for open world for fuck sake? I don't know what is wrong with the mind of these aaa developers that they thought copying the most soulless, generic game design is a good idea.
I did a bit of reading into the JK Rowling thing and for the life of me what she said doesn't seem that bad. At most a bit ignorant but trans people blowing it up like she wished death and dismemberment on them is just attention seeking and melodramatic.
I happily bought and am enjoying my copy. I am a fan of Jk Rowling and her work.

Ive actually heard some pretty good things about Hogwarts being based on victorian boarding schools. The bullying and violence was a lot worse and gayer though. And i mean gayer they were all boys schools.
