The sad thing here is that when this game flops (and it will) the higher ups are just going to nuke the devs who were following their shitty "leadership".
I hate ubisoft 🖕🖕🖕
Vara, at the beginning of this video…
"I don't think the backlash surrounding STAR WARS OUTLAWS could get much worse at this point…"
Dear Lady, you should try being a NEGATIVE NELSON like me. I can EASILY imagine WORSE.
{And just for clarity, my first name really is "Allan," not "Nelson." 🤭}
Ubisofts games could be so much bigger and better but they're stuck in their ways and they use the same 15 year old SnowDrop game engine and refuse switch over to the Unreal engine 5 so that's why Ubisofts games look so garbage and old.
Ubisoft can do whatever they want but their game still wont sell.
It's amusing how they always fail to notice that THEIR praise is pretty much a red flag these days.
So 😂 they now spend more money, let me guess they will say we make the budget back on development on the game haters, but dont look behind the curtain for the 20 to 50 million dollars advertising costs.
Yes, lose even more money on crap games. Here is a crazy idea. Instead of spending money for buying good reviews and lies, maybe, just make a good game.
You should just pirate this games to not give money to this woke companies
Iam German and I actually never would have classified PietSmiet as journalists.
When I worked at Warner Bros Games and Microsoft Game Studios, my eyes were open on a lot of things. One of them was buying positive reviews. Metacritic is notorious for this. Won't name the game due to NDA but one of the games I worked on was given a pre-release review by Metacritic, and they had a subtle-not-so-subtle suggestion that their review opinions could be improved for a modest consideration.
Video journalists essentially are movie journalists that review the trailer.
If you really want to stream this crap, at least get it on the high seas
#NeverBuyUbisoft
ruin the game industry. make sure all these leftists lose their jobs. then the people with actual talent can come back and rebuild. ruin these companies. Ubitrash wants to sell 5 million copies of AC race swap. make sure they sell a quarter of that.
If you’re stupid enough to believe anything that games “journalists” or review sites say at this point you deserve to lose your money.
Can’t say I’m surprised. Everything ABOUT these extremists and activists and their twisted and corrupt ideology, just SCREAMS situations like this.
I’m GLAD people aren’t buying these games, and I’m GLAD that manga and anime are moving towards using AI rather than human translators, and I don’t feel bad about them losing their jobs. They brought this on themselves. Is it ideal ? No ! But none of these developers, translators, etc… can be trusted anymore.
Ubisoft did something shady, say it ani’t so.
I have seen that Black Myth Wukong, the 'by far most' wanted game on Steam, launches on August 20, just ten days before Star Wars Outlaws. And if this game is only half as good as is indicated by the preview gameplays we have seen so far, I would even assume that it will be one of the GOT contenders for 2024. If Wukong really rockets like I think it will I doubt it that Star Wars Outlaws will have the potential to attract a lot of players when it releases. The Youtubers and influencers certainly have a significant impact on the popularity of games (which Ubisoft apparently exploited in their marketing campaign for Outlaws). But I do not think that they have the power to persuade their community to play a flawed game like Outlaws when everybody else is hyped for Wukong instead.
no amount of time could save an ubisoft game – bet there's a g:drive folder named "/world_building" that devs use to badly repurpose assets into what barely makes the cut as a "video-game"
They're tryin so hard to scam gamers.
I am surprised that people are surprised. Many YouTubers have sponsored material – recall how many people praised "Kill the Justice League," for example. Companies give something and expect something in return – such as a good rating (or not so low). And if you are a YouTuber from Europe and Ubisoft sponsors you a trip to the US for a few days, combined with a preview of their new game – you will say that the game sucks, then your cooperation will quickly end. One of the largest Polish channels dedicated to games has such beef with Nintendo. Somewhere along the way they got offended because I guess some game of theirs wasn't called a masterpiece.
like that ever worked
Rayman: Get me the heck outta here!
Ubisoft: When mascot's relevant, no one will be.
