Genetics absolutely play a role but so does training and temperment. We have a Staffy/Bully mix and she LOOKS terrifying but the girl has her own blanket, hates getting her feet wet, and loves to snuggle. I get she was "fighting" you but doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her from what we saw. Good girl!!

My aunt’s friend has a bully she is quite possibly the biggest baby on the planet. Little kids could climb on her, pull her tail or step on her toes and no reaction, but all 40lbs of pure muscle dog was startled by… a fork. 😂 Rosie might have her beat, though lol

Breeders have acknowledged that American Bully dogs can be very dangerous if improperly raised or bred. The XL Bully was responsible for 10 of the 19 deaths caused by dogs in the UK in the period between 2021 and 2023. UK Government added the breed to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, making it illegal to sell, breed, abandon or have a Bully XL in public without a lead and muzzle in England and Wales.
