This is the Zero Flip – Infinix’s first-ever foldable, which just made its debut in India yesterday.
It ships with an unusual number of accessories – a USB-C cable, a two-piece case with a finger holster, a 70W charger, SIM tool, and USB-C earbuds.
Unboxing the Infinix Zero Flip
First, let’s talk about the design of the Zero Flip, as it is the most impressive part. Ours is the Rock Black model and there’s also a pink Blossom Glow version. The rear panel has a sand-like texture – a pleasant finish with superior tactility to your usual glossy panel – and it hides smudges like a pro.
Then there are the hinge and sides. The Infinix logo sits front and center on the hinge, surrounded by micro-crystals, which Infinix has engraved with a 0.15mm diamond tool. The frame is both satin-brushed and mirror-polished. All of this effor paid off and you get a very premium and tight feel when you hold the Infinix Zero Flip.
The cool texture and the hinge design
The cover features a 3.64-inch AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits of brightness. It’s quite capable – you can put most apps here and the phone will try its best to run them in full capacity. Those that aren’t optimized will show a warning but will normally still run in miniature form. The interface has its own notification shade and control center.
Being a flip foldable, the Zero Flip invites you to take selfies with one of the 50MP main cameras. But the selfie camera on the inside also has a 50MP imager, PDAF, and it has its own flash too, which you can also use as a video light.
With the impressive design cues, the trio of 50 MP cameras, and the functional cover screen to the impressive list of specs, and you’ve got a very competent package. The Zero Flip runs a 6nm Dimensity 8020 with 8GB of RAM, and it has a big 4,720mAh battery with 70W wired charging and 10W wireless charging support.
The folding display is a vast 6.9-inch canvas with LTPO 120 Hz support technology and 1,400 nits of brightness. That will cost you INR 54,999 ($655/€600). We’ll share more on the Infinix Zero Flip soon.
