Got a GSD puppy, so excited! I’ve been doing these soo far and it’s been tremendous!
The very FIRST thing, and I mean FIRST thing you can do, seriously guys, number ONE thing FIRST ONE thing FIRST thing ONE is my absolute favorite thing to do FIRST…
Great content. Just watched your video on focus and tried sitting with the pup and hand feeding on eye contact. Took 45 mins for him to eat half his serving he normally ate out of bowl. 8 week old cane corso. I’ve had him 3 days and first few days gave him his cup in the bowl and he devours it. Will keep working
Got our 8 week old Catahoula leopard dog yesterday, cant wait to begin her training and this exciting new chapter of life.
Thank you so much! Your tips are fantastic.❤
My puppy is five weeks old. I’m just teaching him to eat sleep and poop. Any other ideas at this point of life
Is it too late for me? We just adopted a puppy. He is 11 weeks old. We have had him 5 days and he will be staying back at the breeders house all of next week while we are out of town. Everything I keep reading and watching says 8-12 weeks is key. We missed this window and I'm feeling terrible about it.
5:18 I though I was having a stroke and genuinely got nervous lol
Please get a lav mic. This audio makes a great video hard to watch.
❤Thank you
It makes such sense, I want my pup to be the best trained chihuahua!
Why do people want to give verbal instructions and then have distracting "music" in the background? It's even worse when a person has an accent and is talking inside an echo chamber.
Great video w helpful tips
We will be bringing home a new Lab puppy next week and I am gobbling up your excellent tips on focussing in particular. Our last dog, a Border Collie was really excellent with eye contact so I hope this will come naturally to me to teach again but brilliant reminders from you is so helpful, it’s been a long time since we had a puppy! Keep going, I need the info!
This video just shows the kinda patience one shohld have to train and manage eish
Way too much talking, not enough demonstration.
Mom just got a new puppy i have to take care of time to train properly while continuing training with my personal older dog.
it very good
Yes thank you very much. So much wisdom..
How about socialization with other dogs and people. If the dog is so focus on you how can you get the dog to feel comfortable around other dogs and if you have to leave it at a doggy daycare???
Oh this is excellent, thank you! Subscribing!
What a great video. I’ve never heard focus broken down that way and looking back this would have been awesome on my previous dogs. I have a puppy coming this summer and I will be using this technique.
Found this video today!! Just what i need right now for my new puppy!!! Watched alot of puppy training videos but none showed me how to get him to focus to get started! Thank you!
Really useful information. Thank you.
I love his show and thisjust summarizes and lays out all of the basic methods he uses on the show. What i love about this guide https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxKkYeOoCV_w2vPX0CSyVWkhew2c4FYk0d is that you don' need to read the whole book cover to cover … You can skip to the chapter (lesson) you want to read about. The book is arranged almost as a problem-solving guide … Here is the problem and here is what you need to know/do to correct it. This man knows his stuff … But more importantly knows how to teach people how they can work with their pups themselves!
Brilliant advice
Many thanks
I love this approach. “Focus” makes total sense to me. I don’t see any current comments. I hope you are still here.
I’ve never heard focus before, brilliant! I made the mistake of shake hands, hi 5, spin around, lay down. Focus is more valuable lol!!!! I need to teach them drop it, now that they’re crazy teething lol. So helpful thankyou
Thank you ! Bringing home my new Chug girl tomorrow and going to use this !
I have had dogs all my life and although now in my 60’s I am about to become the owner of a beautiful groodle puppy. I decided to do a little online research on puppy training and found your channel. This video made so much sense and reinforced things I have done in the past while adding some fantastic tips. I found it far more useful than the many others on YouTube and I will happily follow your excellent training guides. Your enthusiasm is infectious!!
How do you brush a 12 week old miniature schnauzer? Having a problem with grooming him because of biting and chewing my hands.
fine content, but drop the background noise/muzak and use a better microphone, sounds like a toilet.
Great info! Getting a pup in about 2 weeks, getting prepared now!!
This is so helpful. Thanks x
Fantastic advice I just got a puppy thank you
