I think the biggest issue is that you can tell the animatronics are pissed, as if they're alive. The whole point is that they're just vessels that the spirits have to force around, totally inanimate but still threatening.
4:08 You're honestly selling the older parts of the franchise pretty short; FNaF used to be genuinely creepy and unsettling. It may have been watered down heavily in recent years, but the first game really nailed the uncanny valley. These things aren't supposed to be dangerous, but supernatural forces are dragging them around like puppets. To be honest I was not a big fan of the red eyes either but its a kids franchise and it would be to expensive to change the color, I don't really care tho red or no red I'm still gonna watch the movie

I really love how accurate is tonthe games. It'll a least be faithful to the source material, even if the movie not turns to be good (which I doubt)
