The Callisto Protocol just got THE WORST DLC! – Final Transmission Review (PS5/Xbox)

I just beat the dlc today. First review on game. Score 8.5/10. Game was fun. The control was very good, but in short i had fun playing with the little amount of weapons i had. Now, the melee is a big part in this but it was done great as well as the dodging. As for the negative, i was very disappointed in the lack of weapons being this is dead space creators. I was disappointed that this wasnt scary like the first two dead space games. It was a fun experience overall and i dont agree with most of the negative reviews as they’re mostly comparing this to dead space but if this were a different developer they would give this game high scores.

Dlc, again i really liked the dlc especially spoiler!!!! U get a thor hammer and its the best part of this whole game. Its so powerful u can play just with it. I loved it! Its sad to know that this is wat could of been, wat other weapons could they had had they added more? It would of been funner. More noc types more boss battles. The origibal ending was sad it sucked and left u woth dread… then the dlc… its sad disappointing. I dont see it as a bad ending… spoilers… he left the lady at the end of the game to a horde of death. He was going to die and this is wat happend i guess she some how recovered his body and kept him alive to help get word out but i have no idea how? Was he a cyborg or wat? That made no sense to me. But he was hallucinating. I still like the game and it’s unfortunate we’ll probably not get a sequel due to sells. This game is worth a buy at any price.

The DLC was fun but it really does just feel like more of the same, not something new. You also get the Hammer way too late in the DLC like in the last 15 minutes which sucks because it was a lot of fun to use. The bio-bots were a cool idea executed poorly. Having said all that don't regret my purchase of the game or it's DLC. Callisto Protocol was a wild fun ride, does it live up to it's initial billing as a successor to Dead Space? Heck no, not even close but it was fun while it lasted.

As someone who played this on the hardest difficulty it's comical to watch them go down in a couple hits. If you wanted more of a challenge you should have played the challenging setting. But the DLC is still going to suck.

When you say practical joke what you should say is giant middle finger to the player. That is how disappointing and depressing the ending was.

Meh. Got this game for $10 so I ain’t really mad. It is what it is. It’s a decent game and deserves at least one play through for everyone that’s on the fence about it

I don't know about controversial, but this was easily my most disappointing game of 2022. Hyped as the second coming of Dead Space, this falls far short in every way. I agree with all of your criticism of the game.

I held out until the season pass was 50% off since I knew it was a ripoff. I did want to see what the story dlc was going to be like and thanks to your warning knew going in that it was going to be bad but still WTF at the ending–Jacob deserved better. I can see what they were going for too if the game got a sequel (which it won't) you would be playing as Dani, which would be lame.

So either they changed the DLC after you finished it or we played 2 totally different Games cause the DLC kinda instantly explains [at the end] whats going on with the Hallucinations and people randomly appearing in places they simply couldn't because they are either dead or on the otherside of the Planet.
The DLC also isn't a cliffhanger its a definitive end to Jacobs Story the only way for CP2 is with a Game set before CP1 or with a new Main Character cause the DLC clearly shows the State Jacobs in which is literally on deaths door.
I mean come on if you finished the DLC what do you think a armless, legless Torso with massive Trauma and irreparable Braindamage could possibly do besides rot away in some hightech hospital till the end of his days. [It is also kinda hinted at that he actually died after finishing his last Job which is to expose the shit that happened on Callisto and inside / below Blackiron.]

Callisto Protocol is a good game so i was left with wanting more and it is complete garbage not worth a dolllar. Im not exaggerating it is like a left out level that had nothing to offer. The hammer you get it 20 min. before beating the game….like really 🤦‍♂️

They are just mad cause jacob dies

Knowing that Jacob doesn’t escape Black Iron prison and that fever dream ending. If there’s a Callisto protocol 2 it’s Dani who’ll be continuing where she left off to expose the truth about what happened to Europa and the colony underneath Black Iron.

I loved this DLC, played it over and over again. And Riot Mode is so much fun you play it for hours. You don't know shit, bro.

people who like this game are the same people who buy and defend call of duty every year and play every game on "story" mode

The ending was cool. Sounds like DreamcastGuy have an issue with this game 🙂

Really hope we get a sequel and this doesn’t share the same fate as Days Gone.

I understand everything you’re saying but as a player who played it the 1st hour of launch I actually enjoyed this game. I beat it 4x and maxed out the weapons and stuff. It’s definitely not the best game out there but I love the story and and I have no idea what the ending is yet but it’s just the fact that it’s something new for me is why I like it. They could possibly do even better what they done to the game but I just love how crazy the world is in the game.
