i found an abandoned kitten under a csr by where i live. i kept it and it was like midnight so i couldn’t buy food i tried to give it food and water and the next day i woke up took it to get some kitten food and was trynna look for a home for it since i couldn’t keep it. i was willing to keep it until i found a good home but not long term. i introduced my dog to her and my dog is agressive hates other animals and especially cats. my dog started licking her but she had her full attention on her and kept smelling her which ik they say if they get tense and overly focus on here to where they don’t get their attention off the cat and if u call them they don’t pay attention it’s a sign that they’re looking at the cat as prey. and the cat tried to scratch it and hissed but i got scared lol and it wss only like 3-4 weeks old ):
I got a new kitten yesterday (sadly only 5 weeks old because the mother didn't want the kittens anymore and wanted to get rid of them) my dog sniffed the box and my kitten (Hati) was hissing at my boy but my dog was sleeping next to my bed while Hati was sleeping in his box on my couch.
For now I'm letting them be

This might be a little hard for me, because my dogs already tried to viciously attack and murder the wild cats behind her house.. but at heart they would get use to then heck one slot from that car on my youngest dog, that dog will be traumatized for the rest of his life

I mean, you have a very well trained dog, but this isnt what anyone is looking for when they look up this subject.
In the wild cats and dogs hate one another. But after human domestication they will learn to tolerate and than befriend one another

Brother, this is animal training at its finest! Really appreciate your technique switching between the animals, doing the rest of time being the mediator, it’s like watching a symphony and your narrating the body language makes a huge difference on processing the changes between behaviour. Resonate a lot with the isolated room method keeping control, gonna try and take some ideas from this for sure.

Just went thru this with a lab same exact experience him and the cat are now inseparable he doesn't understand his size with the kitten sometimes but she loves playing with him just as rough I have to always tell them to cut the horse play down as if they were 2 kids🤣
