I’m gonna get myself a PS5 this Black Friday and gonna enjoy playing this game for the first time.
Last of us part 1 remake all day. damn night and day. the remake looks more natural, more of a modern type of game. 3D models are accurate to real life which is much more immersive.
Played it on ps3 and 4 now playing it on the 5 and it is stunning. Can’t stop looking in to the detailed surroundings, the cast of the lighting, characters coming more out to life.
Will finish it now for the 5th or something time ❤️

A 10 year old game remastered from the ground up has this huge price , Sony are really going down with these prices on games.

Another pointles remake that needn't exist if Sony just allowed backwards compatibility…hmm…maybe that's why they don't. An excuse to re-sell the same titles every new console.

It looks better, but it's not no much better that it had to be redone. They wasted time on this instead of working on a part 3.
This was one of those games you never wanted to end.

This game won hearts due to its story, music and gameplay, not graphics.
Considering that it was alreadg remastered for ps4..this remake wasn't needed at all.

Well, if unlocked framerate would be working correctly. Console system menu shows VRR is active, television shows me that VRR is active. But the game is of the opinion my television does not support this. Rebooting and power cycles of TV do not help. It's a Panasonic TV.

Digital foundry said it’s hardly ever able to go over 30fps on VRR fidelity mode yet you’re showing 40 fps plus. I’m confused in regards to this disparity

The PS3 version is still by far the best! Still the greatest game ever on any console! When this came out in 2013 it blow my mind how amazing it looked on my PS3. Maybe I'm getting old but this PS5 version does not look that much better to me.

Comparing this to digital foundry tech analysis confused me greatly.
Digital foundry stated that the 40fps fidelity mode rarely reaches the intended fps and mostly only 3-4 frames above 30 and here we're told the complete opposite that it rarely drops below 40fps !
Also DF stated that the resolution in performance mode is 1440p no matter what's going on screen and it never shifts to 4k
So what's going on here ?

Regardless of how stunning they can make it look, the Last of Us on the very last days of the PS3's life cycle was outstanding and nothing can ever compare to how it hit the first time playing it
