Thymesia is plague Souls-like. Bloodborne dash, Sekiro parry makes for good combat. Lack of development in everything else …

Let me know if you'd like any more Thymesia content! I may do a video on the endings, because most guides that are coming out only talk about 4, when there are 5. Its just that the last one is glitched or RNG based
until Sony port Bloodborne to Xbox I will play this game to death
“This was good but we need more of it” type of deal from what I can gather here then.
All I know is that this game has a few good bosses, which are a few good bosses more than elden ring has.
Honestly i think devs tried their best to play it safe . I mean the big reason why not much studios succeeded in creating a good souls like is putting to much of themselves in it and that's the main thing .
It's a great experiment for their future projects and having a good combat is a good sign .
Not to mention sound tracks are BANGING!!!!
Ok so if you think its shortcomings are greater than its positives it must be a good game.
Souls and Soul's-like veteran and I thought this game was horrible. Best thing about it was the plague weapon concept…besides that the environments were stale and uninspired, and the combat was so freaking boring and repetitive. I do not understand a lot of the love this game is getting. I was so bored out of my mind I rushed to the end just to get it over with.
Game really felt full of artificially boosted difficult areas that forced specific playstyles and exploration whilst slightly rewarding still seemed less worthwhile, good for an indie game
I really liked this game, for an indie dev team and a first time go for them it’s great. For the combat and plague weapons I’d say it’s worth a buy
I think its impressive given the size of the dev team that made this. They make much lesser demanding indie titles normally and this was wild to see from Team17. I am enjoying the game way more than most critics I think but I didn't expect it to be a dark souls type game so much as just sorta inspired by those and if you temper expectations to the appropriate level I think you'll really enjoy the game. Great video Luigi.
I see potential
Imagine paying 30 bucks for this horsehit lmao couldnt be me!
I'll probably try this out along with both nioh games one day usually the most important part for me in a souls game on a first playthrough is the level design so I'm interested to see how it handles that
No new weapons or armor sets? My favorite part of souls games are the items you can discover.
I enjoy shorter games more and more, loved Mortal shell, relatively short and sweet, I don't have so much time to beat Dark Souls 3 or anything like it, spending dozens of hours just grinding, no thx. Will try this one out
Dark souls made and ruined the "souls like" genre. The rabid fanbase thinks all games even remotely close to souls have to be souls with a skin. Then they bitch that it's souls with a skin lol.
Well put together review! Shame to hear that is not as polished as would have been ideal but the small team certainly shows promise.
I may pick it up now or I may wait for a small sale but either way hope the team continues and look forward to seeing how they grow
Honestly, if this is what this small dev team can do as a first attempt, I'm going to buy this game in hopes that they get enough money to really flesh out the world and hopefully give us a full scale gaming experience in the future.
Hello, how are you… Is it true that it is super short, much like 5 hours?
Thanks for the review dude – think I'll go in with realistic expectations and give it a go.
Isn’t good combat what we play these games for? A lack luster story isn’t really a downside to me
Cool vid.😺
Ello.
