LEGO is a privately held company owned by Kirkbi A/S (75%) and the LEGO Foundation (25%). Kirkbi A/S is the holding and investment company of the Kristiansen family (LEGO was founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen in 1932).
Bestselling products include LEGO City, which offers child-friendly sets for building train stations and helicopters, as well as popular themes like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and LEGO Technic.
In addition to its famous brick toys, the company also distributes video games and online games. LEGO co-owns a chain of 10 LEGO-themed parks worldwide in partnership with Merlin Entertainments.
