I'm still watching, despite that whopper of a fib concerning the 'Earthrise' pic. Yes, the LRO snapped a pic of the earth just peaking over the horizon, but it was B&W, and terribly grainy. The pic you're referring to was taken in December 1968 by Apollo 8 astro Bill Anders. It was THAT picture that came to be regarded as one of the greatest pics of the 20th Century. Pardon my Yoda, but what a difference there is between a records research and living memory. I guess that's why oral history is so important.
