So what do you all think? Anything you wish you had known? I'm sure there are plenty!
Heyy Jackson, you're videos are great, thank you so much for doing this!!
Here's an idea for another video if you find it interesting – we are about to move not only to another house, but a whole other continent with our 6-month-old kitten. I am checking in another suitcase just with her fav things like a foldable tunnel, fishing toys, a scratcher, etc. I've also gotten her very secure with the travel bag, taken her to a vet 3x, on a few other car rides, etc. She'll have her same food & litter ready at the destination. She'll also have a whole safe-room set up before the arrival just for her where we'll let her out of the bag and I'll put all her thingies there. What I'm worried about is (1) the flight – It'll be a 7h flight, journey all together even more, let's just say 12. I'll have her food with us (she's comfy eating out of her travel bowls), snacks + special bag snacks, but she will still have to stay in the bag for most if not all of the time and I can't imagine it being pleasant whether or not you're used to the bag itself. I'll try to get her used to the leash, so I can hopefully just hold her on the plane, but I have no idea how we'll do playtime, which will make her super uneasy. I can only put a couple of her "remote toys" and a blanky in her bag… Also, what about the bathroom going? (2) We are also moving from a 1 br apartment to a much larger house. As I said, she'll have her own saferoom/playroom, which is crazy 😀 We did find her in a forest, but she's been living (happily) in an average apartment since then. How do we make sure she won't freak out and find a place to hide? We'll do our best to cat-safe the obvious ones, but she's super slick, haha. We're planning to initially only open a small gap in the door to the living room, so she can come out when she feels safe and later it can be almost submerged with the living room. Is that the best thing to do or would you recommend anything else? I feel so sorry for her because she won't even understand what is happening and why – 12h of bag-time, loud noises and new smells just to end up in a new house that she won't feel like she initially owns 🙁
TLDR – If you are planning to make a video or point us to quality resources about house-moving to a 180 degree different environment & long-distance air travels with kittens/cats within the next 10 days, it might save our little one from some of our good-willing mistakes 😅 No hurt feelings if not, we just thought it could be as generally interesting topics. Have a good day 🙂
I have had a cat for 18 years of my life. She was a beautiful teacher, and the best "beginner cat" I could have ever wished for. Now that she is gone I defenitely want to adopt another one, but still am not too sure about my abillity to care for one, but your videos defenitely help! Thank you so so much man
I’m looking at adopting a cat right now and I’m going to be honest a lot of people judging me for wanting only 1 cat.
“ they need company when you’re at work” etc is really kinda making me get cold feet.
I understand wanting company I really do but I also understand my finances and I want to ensure my cat has the best life ever.
Pet insurance
Vet fee
Groomers fee
When I need to go out of town “pet sitter”
Premium pet food and all the other vitamins etc needed for cats
I can afford ONE cat, not two!. I do not want to go over my budget too much ( minus emergencies) and then regret getting the cats and or not being able to provide.
My thing is you can always add to your household. Which is better than removing from your household!. Know your expenses/ budget and be financially smart.
I work 9-4 Monday through Friday.
Please bear in mind I’m a single mom of a toddler. Any parent knows what that entails!.
Please be kind in your response.

How to bring your 5.20kg cat down in weight when you feed them about 1/4 cup of dry food with a teaspoon of wet food and over 10 cat treats and even cat wet pouch food catit
Both of my cats were strays that my wife and I took in. One is an older cat. She quite literally saw us and followed us home. We saw her staying around the property and fed her. She decided she wanted to come in, so we let her and took care of her.
The second one was about 4 months ago. He was just a baby and alone. He was skittish the first couple of days. But once he realized he was getting food, water, and affection, he became so lovable.
They both hang out together, they sleep with us.
The younger one and I have a schedule. He comes in around 5-6 AM, wakes me up. I make sure he has food, I make my coffee and we play for about 2 hours. Then I have time to sit on the floor and per him. He crawls into my lap and rubs his head all over my face and into my beard. He purrs up a storm and takes a nap. Then he goes off and does his own thing. After about another 2 hours, he comes and gives a light nibble on my ankle, and that’s his way of saying he wants us to chase each other around the house lmao. I have ti chase him, then run and let him chase me and we go back and forth til he takes another nap. After that, he goes and looks out the window.
The older one comes around fir cheek scratches and to be brushed, then she likes to nap. She’s more reserved. She likes attention on her time then likes to be left alone lol.
Also, when I cook, I have I have time to make a cat safe dish for the younger one lmao He moves my cooking, so he gets his own little plate. He hangs around me as I make the food, and when he’s done he comes and runs his head all over me some more.
Also, he loves to come in the bathroom with us. He just lays down and stays there til we’re done doing whatever.
He likes to climb up on me and sleep on me at night. He’s very vocal too lmao if you talk to him he talks back. He’s vert affectionate and friendly and loves tons of play. He usually follows us wherever we go.
I love em both. Especially being Autistic with severe anxiety, they really help keep me relaxed.
How do feral cats take care of their nails in the wild?
Worst decision i ever made i will not make the same mistake again
I’m so glad I found your channel, i don’t know what I would have done without your channel, honestly your channel is a life saver so thank you so much.
THAT music at 5:39 what is it?
My black cat, Panzona hates everyone especially dogs. She'll growl. Julius (a Savannah mix) will chase after dogs much larger. My kitten (Siamese/tortie mix??) is just calm & likes to observe.
We have a young cat that just wandered into our house and she was starving, she ate her food like she didn’t know where her next meal was coming from. She looked slightly skinny and when we pet her you can feel her ribs. We have been feeding her whiskas cat food but we also caught her eating the dog foods we feed to the crows. We are slowly gaining her trust but the one time we closed the back door she started scratching the door to get out. This knocked her trust slightly but she does just wander in when the back door is open and she leaves after about half an hour. We have put up a post on fb to see if she is lost but no one answered. Is there anything else we can do to gain her trust so as she feels safe enough to stay inside as we want to get her to a vet, see if she’s microchipped and if not get her microchipped and spayed. Is there a chance that we could make her an indoor cat?
Thxs Jackson for the video !!! =^t^=
I’ve never owned an indoor cat by myself (our family has had only mousers/work cats) so I’ve been deep diving into your videos before I get one!! They are so helpful
Never had problems with animals getting along dogs ( rottweilers) cats 4 (tuxedo and tabby) 7 golden hamsters and 1 rabbitt albino my cats would play with the dogs and they all slept together and the cats would find and tell me when my hamsters escaped from their cages
Why do they knock stuff off places then look down at it

How to put together an emergency pack for a pet. Everyone remembers the humans but not the pets
Dogs are dangerous.
Introductions needed with children too. Don't just toss them together, especially in marriage.
Luckily, most of our animals have gotten along. There was one time a kitten was growling at our older cat, and my parents took them back, which I did not like. I wanted to keep that kitten.
7:12 your cat lived to 26 years? Not of our pets never have. My cat was 13 and the other sadly around 8. I mean my parents don't care for our animals like you do, sadly. But, still, that seems like a super long time.
I live in a small town ,theres not vet in 40km 😅
What should I do?
I will say this is very good and informative. However, there’s a lot of us who are lower income people. We can’t afford to do all the things that you’re saying in this video to do for our cats or dogs. So does that mean none of us should ever have any pets? There are 40 million cats and dogs being put down in America every day. Wouldn’t it be better that they have at least The best home that we can offer them rather than no home, for a lot of them Are not only euthanized, but are homeless. This video makes me feel like I am so inadequate and taking care of my pets, even though I love them. I scrape so I can feed the feral cats outside as well. They don’t have anything.
