I have a really big question and I've owned cats in my life but I've only owned Siamese that are not pure bred and I think part calico I would say bc there's orange hints and spots a little but my cat now looks practically Siamese but I had a black Siamese also but my question if anyone knows it is . My cat makes these little jittery noises everyone once and awhile usually when the laser light comes out . She sounds like she studders .I was thinking like a ferret or a mongoose or something . Ricky tiki tavee. But it's weird and why does this happen ? She's not even one years old .coming up this August she will be one year. But she is making only at certain times this noise .I have a video of her doing it . Sounds like pitter pattering like a studer .please if anyone knows why is it her breed or idk please help.thsnk u

Cats purr out of empathy. Like people, some are more empathic than others and have the trait from birth, and will purr sooner than other cats, who will develop empathy over time, and start purring later. It's an easy trait to spot in a litter.

Cats will also purr to help heal you, too. When I was sick or injured in bed, my cat would lie on me and purr as hard as she could. If I was on my back and she was laying on my chest, I could feel her purr reverberate through me. I don't know if it actually helped or not, but it certainly was comforting. Especially when I was suffering from a gout attack. I miss Callie, she was a good kitty. Even when she'd sleep on my face and smother me with love.
