If they gave it quidditch it would've been a perfect game 9/10 imo
I think go all the way and you start by recieving your invitation to hogwarts as a young 1st year student. With minimal danger and as you progress through the years of school the danger and tension rises with the threat of the antagonist very much like Harry's story. Except, the danger starts to manifest as you become more adept with magic it becomes known that you are the only decendant of Merlin that is still alive and the only threat to the antagonist (as long as your magical potential is realized in time as you navigate the story and the open world)
People tend to forget the part you own so many mounts, you can fly, roam, and even fight with the graphorn for example, is it just me or is it really appreciated that FINALLY we can have flying mounts in an RPG (even skyrim's flying on a dragon isn't really flying on a dragon lol, same in Tears of the Kingdom) I think I am the only nerd who actually see this as a big plus, even in TW3 Geralt can only ride a horse, in HL, you can literally fly a hipogriff or Thestral shit is a very big point for me
I absolutely loved this game SO DAMN MUCH
Just platinumed the game and just noticed to on and off hoods lol
I love this game, but the one thing that I did not like was thst you could not date any of the main NPCs.
The open world honestly kinda sucks in this game, it’s mostly empty with only a few generic things to do like Merlin Trials, races, and loot to collect in caves and that’s pretty much it.
It’s saving grace is interesting main quests, customisation and most of the side quests are fun to complete.
For me this game is quite overrated
I would describe it as a "Screenshot" game, be swept away by nostalgia and illusions but do not look too much into it. It is pretty, it is smooth and it is harry potter but that is it.
I give them credit for the perk system. If paid attention here, you can easily and vastly improve the power of your character even with focus on your favoite spells.
The Transmog system is good, i would have just appreciated a bit more variety in terms of like the milestone rewards and less of the same schoolrobes but it is fine.
A lot of activities feel like from an ubi soft title and very repetive and without the connected milestone rewards i bet nobody would even do them more than five times.
Combat at first is interesting but gets repetetiv very fast and reminds me too much of force unleashed's force powers and destiny's enemy shield system in which you can't, deal damage before breaking their match-the-color-bubble.
It is just
hold enemy in the air
fire
basic attack
and
curses
You can combine spells to form a combo and of course it needs a form of parry and dodgeroll
but there is little variety here to experiment and it gets boring quite fast after you had them all for while
Choices do not matter and there are no consequences to anything you do which hurts the rpg aspect of the game hard aswell as replayability except the house related quest and that's it.
Overall it is a good game, especially considered what we got in the past harry potter games and even better than some recent releases
but standards have lowered a lot over the years.
The game is quite average but compared to the recent greed parade of publishers around, it looks like a blessing
Lekker accentje maatje
Got the platinum trophy within 2 weeks of owning the game. Best trophy grind experience I ever had. Didn't even use a guide except when I was struggling to find a handful missing collectables at the end. Amazing world to explore, had way too much fun just roaming around the castle and discovering all the hidden secrets within. Such a gem this game. And any true Harry Potter fan would be delighted experiencing this for themselves. Of course there were some minor annoyances, but nothing compared to other big games I played to 100% completion. The wait was absolutely worth it. Been following its development ever since that first teaser that was put out years ago. I really hope they do bring out some DLCs and a second game. But please take enough time to make it as good as this one.
One of extremely few games I didnt bother finish. I played 15-20 hours, but it was a struggle. Also maybe the only game I just sold of. The start of the game gave me goosbumps, but then I got bored out of my mind.
Would love to see these devs do an original Game of Thrones open world game.
Does upgrading your gear in the room of requirements really help u in battle?
If only they would add the ability to save this would be a brilliant game.
i've played for about 10 hours and holy hell when is something going to happen?
literally nothing has happened yet and i've done nothing but story missions
it's slow
boring and dull
no story, combat is repetitive and slow
lucky i bought the game through amazon so i can refund it
but seriously why is the game so damn slow
nothing has happened
characters suck and the main protag is beyond unlikable,
im gonna assume the game is for harry potter fans only
because it's the single most boring rpg i've played in years
i'd rather play greedfall lmao
i love this game,i had a weir and fun moment when i walked through a hallway i heard some noise behind me and i was thinking wth is that? so i turned arround and one knight statue was beating the crap out of another and it just made me laugh so hard.
Seriously one of the best games I’ve ever played and one of the few that I bought at full price.
This kind of game and quality was what Cyberpunk fans were waiting for with what was promised for them and never got it.
Hogwarts Legacy is near perfect, every other game developers must pay close attention and learn!
I smell dutch
I don't understand this… How can a triple-A game release and be enjoyable and not have game breaking bugs, micro transactions, broken battle mechanics, disappointing/cringey dialog…
I admit the Sony exclusive mission wasn’t the greatest thing, it was a cool gesture but could’ve been better. Tbh had no idea it was the exclusive quest until I looked it up
Step step, revelio, step step revelio 😪
I love the game, but the amount of bugs I have encountered is super annoying and should not be in a released game
I reas the first book twice and have seen the movies. I actually hated Harry Potter, especially the movies. But I’m a huge fan of open world games like Skyrim and DAMN this game is so fun. Been loving every second of it so far.
Question: does weather changes into different season after game finish? I’m currently in winter and just wondering if you can get it again?
Just finished the story today, at level 34 which I had no idea to do. It's an amazing game, awesome story, character's, graphics etc. Too much to list! I give this game a 10 out of 10. My console is Xbox one S and had NO issues
He's right, not having seen a single Harry Potter movie I still loved this game. And the music was lit.
This game is amazing. I can't get enough 😍😍.
I beat the game and didn't even know it until I got that letter ughhhh!!! I disliked how sebastian story was more interesting than the main story
Nice video but dude, I beg you, stop screaming in your mic.
Yes it is an amazing game so far this is the game of year for me . I was never a fan of Harry Potter games
I love the movies . BUT THIS GAME BLOW ME AWAY
I am an open world gamer and this is it . Get it play it you will love it
I really have enjoyed the game and have alrady made 2 other alts in different houses. My few gripes (no spoilers) are as follows:
1. There is no clear indication on why we start out as a 5th year when most wizards/witches would have clearly shown magical talent at a much younger age so I think they did a poor job explaining this.
2. I would have liked there to have been some clear outcomes of decisions made throughout the story whether good or bad like The Witcher 3 etc.
3. I would have liked there to have been more friends/allies relationship development and more times where an ally could come with you for certain missions so I think that was poorly done as well.
4. The gear customisation I agree (not talking about transmog) I also would have liked that you don't keep getting the same type of gear but higher level until you get the gear/cosmetics you haven't received yet.
5. Finally, the beast breeding I found pretty pointless aside from getting extra mats which you can't even sell which leads to the bottom half of the traits that didn't even unlock until the very end.
Still really did overall enjoy the game a lot. Is it at the same level as RDR2/Witcher 3, no but its still a great game.
SPOILER – Zenobia plays with her gobstones regardless if you give them back!
This game is a solid 7/10. Story is good. Game still has bugs. Battling mechanics not as good as other games. Dialogue doesn't affect gameplay. Good graphics. Good customization. Good music.
Just a overall fun game. 9/10
how can you give a honest review when in the first min u say i was given an exclusive ps5 code to play stuff none of you can, your admitting you just got bought of to give them a great review and low and behold you did when if u was being honest the world is tiny the flying is a joke and the amount of bugs is silly for how long they spent making it. All it has going for it is its harry potter and and it looks kinda pretty
Anyone else have an issue on the PS5 where the menu cursor becomes unresponsive, but I can still use the touchpad (which sucks), and back out of the menu and control my player just fine? I have to shut off my controller and turn it back on to get it to work again. And when this happens, I can back out to the PS5 menu and the controller works fine still..
PlayStation is honestly the worst for buying off exclusive content for themselves. Such an underhanded thing to do to gamers, in general. I wish developers would show some morales, and stop agreeing too it. Tho anyone who plays a PlayStation is just as bad, for greedily supporting these practices, imo.
