You don't take into account cats that have been hand raised since birth. I raised all 3 of my cats from day one when momma bailed on them, I literally get no alone time ever, if i don't have a cat on me, i'm at someone else's house.
You SHOULD free feed your damn pets. Because they literally eat only when they're hungry.
And cats really should only be fed meat, unless they won't eat meat for some reason. And, fish really isn't that healthy for felines. High amounts of omega 3s is toxic. Just like milk and dairy … cats are usually lactose intolerant.
I dint know, but when i want to play whit my Cat she just lays down and starts to sleep. I tried it doing when she came to me or when she starred at the Toys but never. I dont know what i m doing wrong… I tried doing it on the morning evening and Night. But she always walks away or starts trying to sleep…

For those comments stating “oh my cat never lets me be, it’s always in my bed and etc etc” you’ve allowed all of that I’m sorry, I can be the biggest fan of my pet personally but there is a boundary between my animal and me, I can affectionate without the animal feeling the need to follow all over the house or to literally sleep with me! I would like to think having an actual human companion is a lot easier, safer and just overall normal. I can barely wear anything black around the 2 cats I live with now their fur is just everywhere. I love kitty’s, but just like the cat, I like my space 😅❤
the water thing i had a cat that the vet said i need feed special food he had blocked urin ways twice even a operation it happend 3 times the food they said he needed was dry food i then started to give him wet food and after a year he would olmost only eat wet food and never had a problem again with his bladder

many years ago when i still ahd my old MC with a huge monitor, Boni our old ragdoll was waiting patiently until i turned the Mac on. And then the monitor also was warm, he would ump up there, curl up and sleep there as long as it was warm. The monitor was really big with still plenty of ventilation left, so there was no problem with overheating. Now with the iMac, no more….

As a dog trainer, the very first thing I educate dog owners about is: respect the fact that their dog is a DOG! Not a child. I recently rescued a kitten and decided to adopt her. She is my first! And I have been doing a lot of research to understand what she needs to have all her natural instincts fulfilled. Climbing, scratching, hunting and so on. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness a creature doing what it was meant to do. Hopefully I can train her to walk on leash so she can see the world and not live her life in an apartment!

new cat owner here! i have a normal hair routine that involves oiling my hair with things like rosemary oil, olive oil, other growth oils, etc. how do i make sure i can do this and still keep my kitty safe? should i stop this all together? sometimes my cat will bite my hair on a regular basis as well.
My cat literally eat different foods. I give her whichever cat food is closest to me and she eats and love all of them

You forgot a big one. Don’t play with your kitten by hand wrestling with them. It just teaches them that it ok to bite and scratch you. It may be cute with a 1 pound kitten but not with a 10 pound adult cat!

I know milk isn't good for them, but like humans I hear that some cats can potentially have lactose tolerance.
Regardless, one cat I've had over the years really craves milk, and begs me for it. Not sure why since he's not pushy with anything else. I give him no more than like 20-30 ml in a day and oftentimes none, but it seems like he's okay with having it often. Obviously cats don't necessarily know what causes them problems though. I haven't noticed problems, but it's an outdoor cat.
