Finally defeated gna with this omg
Just a quick note: I appreciate that you don't wanna spoil anything but just seeing GNÁ for a couple of seconds is a spoiler in itself I find…
I really enjoy watching your GOW videos and have also very much enjoyed your Horizon Forbidden West content! Keep it up good sir 🙂
I used Lunda's all through NG, then went berserker chest + dragon leg/waist on NG+. I think vidar's is stronger than dragon but I like using unarmed combat and the +50% dmg from dragon makes it somewhat comparable to the weapons. Dragon affects every unarmed hit except the kick. 😀
Do the flame whip/awakened axe moves count as combo finishers for vidars?
i think i prefer strength builds!
thank you for healing/tank build Gná was pain in the ass 😅
I found the tanky build the easiest to use for my play style. Not sure where I found it but steinbjorn as you mentioned, surtr arms and waist, rond of restoration, agree with amulet slots. I third attempted gna with this build and finally beat BK after struggling for hours with the berserker build.
I cannot wait to see your NG+ Builds, especially since we now have Charms based on the armour sets.
I go with the Survival Set, the Grip & Darkdale Handles, Soldier's Sauroter, the Dauntless Shield with the Rond of Volition, and the Glaive of Dødher.
For Charms, I use three Asgard Runes, the Boon of Wrath, the Nidavellir, Fate Breaker, and Máni Engravings, the Badge of Absorption, and the Seal of Runic Storm.
For Light Runics, I use Skaði's Edge, Flames of Anguish, and Whisper of the World. They all have short Cooldowns, and Whisper of The World will draw every enemy in to cover them in Bifrost.
My Heavy Runics are Ivaldi's Anvil, Nemean Crush, and Honour the Fallen.
what sword & bow do you suggest for fraye & atreus respectively & also which bow ability for atreus ?
What I found to be best was berserker chest, and berserker gauntlets (I dodge more than parry and in boss fights you will hit them much more then they hit you and then the waist can be a lot of things, surtrs and vidars work well as I like high damage, but will also go with radiance because its just fun. As far as handles go I think its nearly unquestionable to do olympic on spear as the strength boost is great for combos, and then have the axe be furious maul or base surivial one and the blades be nine realms as you don't need to realm shift on every weapon as maelstorm is transferrable so you can just switch to the one weapon you have it on and use it. This is a big mistake I see a lot. I use dauntless, shield rond I change between a few idrc on that. runics are basically the same as listed here, njords tempest, ivaldis anvil, hades retribution, nemean crush, thousand spears, and then I use vindsvalir windstorm but ehh on that one. Enchantments I change a lot but nine realms and elusiveness ones are good, and then based on the sets stats boost and if im using radiance will determine them. Hilt is hofung until I beat hrolf, and got skofung, but beat hrolf in 15 minutes with the above build (i think I used vidars for him).
Thanks again for all of these helpful videos. I just finished the main game and had a blast! Without your guides, I certainly would have been a bit frustrated as there's a lot that goes into understanding the best builds and strategies in this game. Appreciated!
lundas chest + dragons waist/bracers > full lunda. lundas needs to wait for poison state, dragon is on all shield. let's say each hit is 10, and since shield is 3/4 attacks, it's 56 lunda v 55 dragon, but dragon doesn't wait for poison state. not sure what the str increase does for dmg, but it may even be stronger even with the 3/4 hits per combo
I've found it plays faster and stronger, anyway, killer video!! your defensive build was the only way I could get past some of the trials
Late to the party but the tank build is so fun to use when clearing the map!! Doesn’t need to worry about health at all, thanks for the build
I love the berserker cuirass along with vidar's bracers and waste guard. 😁
After watching playthroughs 2-3 times, the new combat system always looks practically the same but different at the same time. But it was more like "hard to understand". After watching a couple of your guides, I now understand that the difference is even beyond day and night. I'm just impatient for the pc release to practice all these tips and give all the builds a go. This has been very helpful, thank you.
What a great video! Well explained and presented. Thank you so much!
I got a crazy build that probably deserves a new video for you. Your discord link is broken and typing here on my phone is so slow.
Imagine having 2 massive health bars in the hardest difficulty and if you get knocked down you come back to life with more than 1 full health bar. There is cooldown and damage bonuses, a small realm shift, multiple ways to heal and you get to use the best shield in the game.
Im still stuck on gna, what are the best tips for beating her? Liked video , verry much and adjust my builds and keep trying.
10:38 is perfect for me
i didn't get it. we need to focus in HP or others stats
Thanks for the help great video
How tf u get those 400+ strenght
Messing around with different builds gives this game a ton of replay value
Started playing a month ago and i'm in late game now. Been using your tips.
The Lunda felt clunky to me at first, having been used to the axe and blades in the 2018 game.
But after learning the poison style it absolutely shreds. At Level 8 now, and there's very little i can't destroy first try. Except the occasional Berserker.
Was gonna try the Berserker/Dragon build but i can't be bothered to do the Muselpheim trials to get divine ashes to upgrade it.
Sticking with Lunda till the end.
