I get that drama needs to be added but dogs live in the moment. The fact that Chivas is chill as hell means he’s living his best life ever. Yeah he needs rescuing because he’s obviously not getting the weather forecasts but let’s not pretend like he was out there suffering. Dude had it all as far as he was concerned. Just went up to a random deck and laid out like “yep 😎 this is the life “.

Maybe the family brought him on vacation, but he ran away, and they couldn't find him before they were forced to leave back home due to having a return flight. The dog's family might be wondering where he ran off too and are missing him.
I remember many year's ago reading about a program in a prison where the inmate's (not all) were put in a program where they learned to help with dog's that were abused and abandoned. Working along with the veterinarians etc. It was a very successful program on so many levels. I think there literally are people in this world who have zero ability to care or have compassion. There are those who are so wounded that this program helps them to heal and recover by literally helping the dog's do the same. Just a thought.
Maybe his lack of potty training and not knowing how or being able to fix it is why they abandoned him? 😢
