not a fan of the no return mode. But the game story mode. Is one of the best games I've ever played.
We appreciate the hard work that they put it into the game but you missing one part killing a beloved character JOEL! from the first game. Build up does not make sense We respect their work. We appreciate, but what we don't agree that. Killing a beloved character that we wait 7 plus year to play as Is was kill from Beginning from the first hour of the game The problem is that WE DID NOT WAIT SEVEN PLUS YEAR TO PLAY AS ABBY!!! SHE KILL OUR BELOVED CHARACTERS IN THE FUCKING FIRST HOUR!!!! Another remasterd $70 full or $10 Upgrade on ps4 Disc They need to make a little bit more money to put into their pocket

I recognize the gameplay as topnotch, but I don't know if I hate myself enough for another playthrough.
I really don't get the "another remaster" sentiment with this. It's like everyone collectively forgot this game was never released on PS5. People didn't act like this when Horizon Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarok got their PS5 ports. But people can't help but be weird about The Last of Us.
It bothers me that they did so little for the graphics. Yes, the game looks great, but it could have looked better.
Some examples would be text on clothing being very low res. Put on Ellie's Death Stranding shirt and zoom into it with photo mode. Its embarassing.
The world shows some age too. I was pressed against a brick surface last night that looked paper flat. Just a wall with a brick texture, no depth at all. Could have added POM or something.
Its just frustrating they didn't do the work to future proof the game a bit more.
I liked Last of us 2 so much that i invited my wife's boyfriend to play with me and he liked it so much that he bought me the remastered version on ps5 so now we both can play the game at the same time while my wife makes him a hearty meal after an intense session of lovemaking
Played the crap out of the first game. Never got a chance to try part two so I’m looking forward to this. I love games/movies set in post apocalyptic/dystopian settings

The new content looks good, but aside from the frame rate and resolution increases, there's nothing here that couldn't have been done on PS4 and indeed the extra content should have been added to the PS4 version as well and not be PS5 exclusive!
I recently got a PS5 and indeed from the outside and now that I have one, it really hasn't blown me away, feeling more like a PS4.5 or PS4 Pro Pro…
Probably the biggest thing I don't like about it is its' controller, I much prefer to play games with a Dualshock (especially the Dualshock 4), rather than the Dual Sense and wish I could experience the new content on a PS4 and/or on a PS5 with a Dual Shock 4 or 5!
Also it's a big pity that the lost levels weren't completed and integrated into the main game and that we didn't get a Left Behind style expansion (yet?!) 😯😀🤘🤞 .
The new mode does looks like fun.
Not sure if this is a hot take but I absolutely loved the multi-player in the last of us 1. That was my jam back then. Sad they couldn't build off of that.

Fun game, but the fact that is the only first party PS5 release for 2024 we know, is VERY alarming.

I played the PS4 version, from start to finish. I had watched and listened to a lot of the hate and diverse opinions on the game/storyline beforehand. Honestly, it pulled me in and I consider it one of my favourite gaming experiences ever. I look for games that I get lost in, that feels like a real world, characters that I care about and can relate to, and Last of Us Part 2 has all of that. The ending scene, or close to the ending, on the beach……that part, the intensity and emotionality of that part…wow. I'll leave it at that, but what do I know, I loved Death Stranding. 😅
Playing that game once was enough. It goes on 10 hours to long if not more.
Believe it or not, I've recently just finished the first game all the way through (after 3-4 trys due to life). Love it so much. Been super excited for this PS5 remaster AND I have been able to avoid most major spoilers. Thank you for still not ruining the big things. Just learning we play as more than just Elle and Joel. Can't wait!!
You say you prefer 60 fps but then you say it looks more like a game and not a masterpiece cinema moment and that makes me feel that yes, 30 fps feels more cinematic. But I also prefer 60 fps as well. So I’m glad we get both experiences.
The hate for this game has evolved from the story to the actions and attitude of the director and the sycophantic game "journalism" industry. I love this game but the haters all have very valid criticisms.
Definitely going for the upgrade. I had a fun “photo mode” run with part 1. Looking forward to doing the same with part 2. The added content is a welcome addition as well.

I loved lou2 and preordered this day one. Im such a sucker for this franchise. Beat the ps4 version twice including grounded mode. Stoked to play through in even better fidelity.
If you hate this you have to also hate remastered music too.

Druckman needs to step down. I think it's safe to say that most of us had enough of this BS. When he fired Hening that's when the studio started going downhill imo. ND is a shell of what they used to be. The reason this keeps happening is because people keep preordering these types of games. The first game was interesting but after that the series has become one of the most overated franchises in gaming. I wish they make a new IP at this point
Although I'm not a fan of TLoU 2, the $10 upgrade is a good incentive and this should be the norm for those who previously purchased games years ago instead of shelling out more money for a fresh coat of paint.
