3:59 – What? So that cat's stomach is only like 1/200th of it's body, what does most of the cat's internal mass contains?
I’ve seen people put soft food in a gotoob and reward the animal by letting have a lick of the food while you squeeze some out
7 week old kitten what is a good soft treat?
I learned my cat to sit in three seconds. It’s like he instantly understood. He loved doing the trick again and again. I don’t have a clicker yet. In the evening I fetch him food in the bowl. Turn around. There, he looks at me very happy and sits. “Mum! This is what we learned today right?”. This is the most intelligent cat I have ever met. I look forward teaching him tricks and getting him some intelligent games.
10:53 rofl
My cat won’t respond to the clicker or treats. He’s also sick so I’m guessing he doesn’t feel well enough to
thank you SO MUCH for this video !!
What if my kitten is too focused on the treat and the smell of treats in the proximity to focus on me during training? How can I teach her to wait and to pay attention to me? Or is my kitten too young to be training?
10:55 TECHNICAT DIFFICULTY!
Can you ever stop using the clicker and giving treats once they learn a behavior or do they just stop doing it if there’s no click and treat?
I just want to train my new young cat to stop bothering my old cat, who just wants to nap and snuggle. The little guy has so much energy that even 2 hours of playtime isn't enough some days.
I just snap my fingers. Nothing to break or lose, my fingers are always handy. Sorry, I know you want to sell merch.
Of course this works. What if my cat is on a strict,.lo cal weight loss diet. I'm pretty sure I can get my cat to do anything with some cat treats. But I don't want to be giving him the extra calories. So what do I use?, cat nip?
It is easier to punish them when they are not good
I use clicker training on my husband so that he’ll do things around the house. 😏
I love it! I have two kitties, same age, it's so hard to train them together!
will definitely try this! my cat doesn't like playing much, so this could be great for enrichment
Why 16 minutes ?
I can't use a clicker, because my cat is deaf 😂 BUT I think I don't need it, Ludwig is very smart 😀 I started the training yesterday, I use hand signals and he learned the "come here" and "sit" command 😀
I'm guessing this has already been asked but if you have multiple cats you have to train them separately? How do you use clicker training (once trained) with them in the same room or space. Wouldn't that confuse them. Like if you're trying to clicker snapshot one cat for doing something successful but the other cat hears the click. Or you just always have to have 1 cat do it, click, treat— then do the same thing immediately with the other cat— and continue that rotation back and forth?
What if ur cat lowkey doesnt like treats 🙁
Samantha is so cute
One of my cats is a little less play driven and I have a hard time getting him engaged in playtime, but he’s also much more food motivated than his brother. Last night I spent about two minutes teaching him “sit” and he mastered it so quickly. Tonight I tried it again and he didn’t even need a refresher. I’m about to order a clicker for him. I’m sure my other cat will benefit from it too, but my shy guy really seems like a natural.
Samantha is using the SMALL BATCH brand for treats if any one wants to know!
I don't believe this cats stomach is that small. Ain't no way.
I have a question regarding this. What if you train them for lets say the high five. What if the cat comes and gives you high fives all the time because he wants treats? Knowing My cat he would do that. Just wondering how they know that it's only for training?
Clicker? I hardly know her!
I wont use the treat reward because my cat might expect it.
Ill use the petting reward.
What if we have 2 cat is it a problem when I click and only give a treat to the one who accomplish the assassination mission? Or should I put the other one in another room and train one cat at one time?
My Rafiki is jet black and frequently sneaks out the door at night. Last night she was darting all over the neighborhood being chased by a huge stray. My son finally got her but got deep slashes even on his face because she was still afraid from being chased. Help, what might work best for her?
At what point do you stop giving treats and let the clicker sound alone become the positive reinforcement treat i.e. the reward
once a cat learns a trick or behavior, can you ever get them to do it without giving the click and treat? Or must you always give the click/treat every single time?
When is a good age to start clicker training?
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try this.
I have your clicker and treats pack.
Who loves ya, Cat Daddy?? HASKELL AND I, THAT'S WHO!!! (Haskell is a Very rare breed… an American Ring-Tail Marmalade Idjit). HAHAHA.– just your ordinary everyday jelly-bean brain make orange tabby. But I LOVE HIM.
I have bought the same clicker but it sounds very loud, Im afraid it scares the cat run away
I showed this to my cat, and now I am being click trained.
Can I clicker train my kitten to quit biting my ankles and feet when I walk. So far not working. I click and say NO. She just looks at me like "really". Help my ankles are a mess with bites and scratches.
I use clicker training (operant conditioning) with my cat Mriya
I am super excited to clicker train. One cat is food motivated, the other snubs treats and only wants Cherrios.
if my cat doesn’t have a eating schedule what do i do?
I have a question, are you supposed to give treat with the click like forever or is there a point where you only use the clicker? I really want to try this as my cat is easally bored. Thanks for a great video, very informative and easy to copy for a quick start as I’m prone to overthink and deside I can’t do it 😂
What if the only treats your cat likes are those cat yogurts? My cat has zero interest in other kinds of treats, half the time it seems like he only plays begrudgingly, and I think he just tolerates being pet.
It definitely looks like you feed your cats 3 times a day….
Can you use this to train your cat to pee in a specific place?
