Two years ago, we used one of your videos to guide our efforts to socialize a couple of 4 month old kittens born in the storage shed of an airbnb on a small island in the Caribbean. Cats have a tough life there, and locals wanted us to try to adopt them. Within a week we were able to get them from hissing and fleeing the moment we stepped out of the house to crawling into our laps to be fed and hanging out for petting afterwards, and a few days later they could be picked up, held, taken to the vet and flown in a cat carrier from that small island to our home in the US (3 flights!). They did great, and today, are healthy, happy and full of kitty mojo.

My son rescued a kitten at work that was trapped under a car hood. Nobody at work wanted the kitten, so he brought it home. He was maybe half feral. I bathed him, fed him, went to the vet…. Our own cat did not get along with him. So we were trying to find a good home. Sadly nobody we ever asked wanted him. The shelters in my area did not want him either because they were overcrowded or we had the kitten to long. After 3 month we still have him and Smokey still looks for a forever home……
I truly learn a lot from this video and thank you very much. My wife and I with my little daughter just recently adopted two kittens. we are leaning about them and they are learning about us so that we many bond together as family.

I’m on holiday abroad and there’s a litter of 5 kittens here and they are so precious, they are only about 3-5 months old and they are so skittish so I’m trying to make friends with food and they are slowly trusting me but I hope they don’t end up feral 😢

Do u think this will work with an under socialized 18 mos. old cat?
I recently adopted a young girly cat – she likes me & my son but doesn't like being held…even 2 clean her ears its a fight 2 get her in place taking both of us 2 hold her still. She's a bit traumatized after ward & will hide 4 a while…I fear loosing the bond/trust we've built thus far so do u have any suggestions? She's a forest cat with 2 coats of fur that should be brushed a few times a week but we've got 2 get past the holding her against her will part or she'll have a future of hacking up fur balls without our help. ( gonna try brushing her during her next heat – looking 4 a good vet so she can be spayed a.s.a.p. : )

My neighbor has 6 cats and he just feeds them. The first cat has had 2 litters and a 3rd in the last 3 weeks. None are fixed. They run from you when too close. I have been working with one of them to where I can pet her. I'd like to be able to get her fixed but I don't think there's time to be able to get her in a crate before she is going to have kittens. Big problem here is there's nowhere to take them without an appointment. I can never be 100% sure I can catch them on the Doc's appointment time. Something really needs to be done or soon there will be 15 cats, etc. Not to mention with all the female cats attracts males which fight with our male indoor outdoor cat.

I e trained mice, rats, 8 monkey species, pigeons, cats (had one cat that knew 29 commands), dogs, llamas, camels and elephants. Time, observation for opportunity, hunger and food is all that is required. Cats train their humans the same way. My old Tom just climbed on my chest and started making biscuits and drooling all over me. In less than 30 seconds I handed him a few treats to keep my shirt dry.

Community cat was hit by a car, I was a wreak and still am now. He made my night and day when he would get up and walk to me 🥹 almost 3 weeks since he left but I adopted 2 and they are similar to how these started. Will try these techniques for trust, I just want to treat them like the best friend that left, he helped me so much with mental health. Miss his making biscuits and rubbing around my ankles to nibble on my shoe laces.
When my cat gave birth to three amazing kittens we took care of them. They were always really sociable since i petted them since they were inside my cat's belly. My brother gave two away and I had to give one. When I thought about other ppl changing his name, him being away from his mother and not understanding why I couldn't stop crying. I cried the whole evening on my gf's arms the day he went to a new home. I will always miss Manuel, no matter what

have you got any tips on older ex-ferals? just rescued 3 who were trapped at 5-7 months, now 3.5 and had gained good confidence at the rescue, but basically gotta start from scratch!
I've 2 ferals at the moment in foster. This film has really helped as my initial tactics weren't working.
