There’s nothing wrong with looking like a poodle.
It always hurts my heart when people make comments about the look of the poodle. I think it is those nasty comments that drive the breeding for money "designer dog" craze. Do they think poodles are born in a show coat? Do people walk around in every day life in their prom or wedding dress??? Even breeders who show do not keep their dogs in a show coat when not competing. Standard Poodles are by far the most beautiful dog… I keep mine in a modern trim. People have stopped traffic just to say how beautiful he is.

I love my standard poodle. Clearly, the smartest and most affectionate dog I have ever lived with. The groomer loves his gentel and cooperative behavior. His hair grows so fast he has to visits the groomer every 8 weeks
