The Growth Engineering team is focused on onboarding new users and customers so that they get the full value of MC in their organizations. The role will involve end-to-end development: full production implementation, monitoring & tracking outcomes of experiments, and post-release operations. You will be collaborating with a small team of seasoned engineers, and your work will greatly impact our product and customers.Location:Anywhere in the AmericasHere’s what you’ll be doing:– Building production-grade backend services and APIs that support usage of our platform– Helping formulate usability requirements and designs– Owning major projects from inception to deployment, shipping at a rapid pace– Architecting simple yet flexible solutions, and then scaling them as we grow– Testing, and operating your code in production, with measurement of its impact on our customers– Navigate with some ambiguity while solving problems and pursuing solutions to difficult challengesWe’re excited about you because:You have 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade backend code, performing code reviews, and working on cloud, data, and web applicationsYou have strong Python skills or mastery of similar backend technologies in a large, complex codebaseYou test your work (with automation) and follow traffic as customers use your featuresYou tech-lead critical projects or initiatives within your team and organizationYou have experience in some of:Growth engineering: building software products that drive adoption and usageData-driven applicationsServerless applications, especially with AWS and LambdaThe needs of data engineers and analytics teams, such as with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, or many similar tools (our customers)Observability – a love of software APMs, debugging tools, and uptime metricsBilling and payments – business applicationsYou collaborate with your team in a remote-first environmentYou get your urgency from user feedback and product visionYou’re pragmatic and biased towards action; you’re able to see the bigger picture and reason about prioritization and scopeAdditional Information:This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity package. The salary is only for US-based employees and will be aligned with the range below.$180,000 – 230,000/yearVarious factors, including a candidate’s professional background and experience, are considered when determining compensation.
