Dude I have seen that same exact thing over the mountains and over the ocean where I grew up, we had this one spot we would go up to where we could regularly see these lights in the sky. Always in formation but definitely not flares, no trail, no flicker, just on then off. Quick as a finger snap.

I live around eastern NC and ive seen alot of these dim white orbs wjere i live. 3 went through the sky one night infront of me intertwining around each other like they were dancing freely. Moved a little more above the trees slightly and a direct halt went into upside-down triangle formation. No sound notjing. I flashed a light at them and they started moving towards me slowly dimming thier lights out one by one. I called my friend within 10 seconds to tell her about it and looked at the time when i did. From the time of me calling her and looking at clock again 30 mins had passed. When actually it should have been a min. It was odd.
