I have a rescue beautiful dog angel. Got from 18 months, now she is 6 years old. I could not take in her to a dog school because is to far away from home and I don’t drive. Every time I take her for a walk, she doesn’t like people come close her because she’s barking, and I get scared she can bite someone. And the same with dogs outside. Same when same people she doesn’t know came home.please there is something I can do at home. I been trying what some people tells me. Nothing is working. I’m very appreciative your advice. Crazy how the dog is in the way of her spending time with her grandson. But she’d rather not see him than get rid of the dog. He priorities are wrong.

Bless Leslie and her family! I am sorry for her loss. I understand having a companion pet for company, comfort, and affection. In addition, having a dog affords a household a measure of protection and warning. It's so hard to balance a beloved pet with a beloved family member when the pet seems threatening. I have learned from Cesar Millan, that almost no dog is so bad that they cannot be reconditioned with just a little bit of research, quite a bit of attention and retraining, and being consistent. I encourage anyone who has a unruly or unfriendly pet with behavioral problems to simply do some research and maybe buy a book, like one that Cesar Millan published to help you learn how to retrain even older dog so that you can balance family with your companion animals! it can be done. It really can!
