Zelda: Breath of the Wild is here for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. Is it worth double-dipping for a new console? Jake breaks it down.

YEAH, it's a good one.
Just started playing after purchasing the oled switch and greatly enjoying it
I bought this last month and now I can't stop playing..
Was this game ever ported to other platforms?
I am still playing it 😅
My favorite game of all time
I have never played any of the games or even been a part of the community and fan base, but this game intrigues me and now I want to play it and learn more!!
I love Breath of the Wild. It is my favorite Zelda game. It is really challenging but also really fun. I recently started a new playthrough. I hope to complete all shrines, quests, memories and armor upgrades. I recently beat a lynal for the first time in the playthrough. I am really excited about that. Lynals are so difficult. There are several kinds of players. I am the explorer kind. Breath of the Wild is the game when I discovered this about myself. That is special. Breath of the Wild heavily focused on exploration. It even gets to the point of annoying other players. Koroks, loose story and weapon breaking benefit exploration in some way. I don't think of it as inherently bad stuff. It is just a matter of preference. I don't mind rain that much. It is merely part of the challenge of being in the wild.
Hey yall im a fan of hollow knight and im not a fan of puzzles, im thinking of trying breath of the wild, is it worth it?
Origami king also got high praise…look what happened.
WTH is with all these new Zelda/Nintendo players? What have you been playing your whole life that this is your first Zelda game??? The only ones with an acceptable excuse are the 5yr olds in chat.
I always put this off due to the switch graphics limitations but that change when I got it running perfect at 80 fps on my pc ❤
Decided to pick up where I left off in 2019 so I can play tears of the kingdom.
I’ve never played a Zelda game, do I need to know any backstory or anything before buying this game?
SO HYPED FOR TOTK
to be honest i dont like it
after all these years this is the first time i'm going to try this game, do i need to know something about the story or something?
"before you buy it"? Have the amount of money to pay for it, that's it.
2023 here just bought it, and OMG where have i been all this time
Why am I watching this when I've already put 500 hours into the game
As a person with 200+ in botw and genshin no wonder Genshin is addictive af, like father like son lol
It IS perfect
Just bought this on my lunch break. It’ll be my first experience with any Zelda game
I don’t understand why people do not like the weapon degradation. I can’t imagine always having an amazing weapon. That’s way too op. There needs to be a balance.
Title should’ve been called “Make sure you buy”
Scorching hot take: you can't accurately review this game at only "about 30 hours in"
I don't know how to explain this, but if you are hc gamer Zelda BoTW have this oldschool feeling.
This game even five years later is my comfort game
I have a really odd experience with games because I have adhd I tend to need to be lead by the games because my mind likes to wonder I only really ever beaten smaller ds zelda games fully like link between worlds and i think i completed phantom hourglass and spirit tracks but those games tend to be smaller so they are easier. But other games I will love them and play them alot but the second i get distracted I just cant get back into that mind set and I find myself forcing myself to play the games just to finish them and not to enjoy them. I never thought i would be able to beat botw i thought it too open world the second i get released from the tutorial i will just not be able to do something so i just watched other play it on youtube but I really enjoyed watching them and I dont really get bored watching them play it so I took a chance and brought the game it has the perfect percentage of leading and wonder to have me not only complete the main game but I also collected all the korok and shines. I also upgraded all my armors, finish all the quests, I even did all the dlcs (couldn't do the master sword quest I'm not that good at the game and I'm still struggling with the horse armors) but this game never made me feel like a was forced to complete it I realized I finished everything in the game I could and I thought 'that it? There nothing else?' I never thought that about a game before and plus with is really important to me but I know alot of people dont like I adore lore in games I love to theorized about things and botw is so full of lore it makes me love it more
I bought it today but maybe I’m just stupid but it’s been hard for me to even get the glider
Eh, too much going on for my taste…I prefer the older Zelda games.
5 years later it's seemed to ascend to an almost god-like status among open-world games. I've played it for 4 years and I still have fun with the glitches and exploration
Damn idk if I should buy this or xenoblade 3
Too many systems and too many GAMES!
Cool review. You're Jewish, right?
i bought an oled switch and this game just less than a week ago and monster hunter rise, what an amazing game, so is monster hunter rise, i am glad i bought the switch, having never played any zelda games this was surprisingly amazing, puts tomb raiders and elder scrolls and ubisoft generic open world games to shame
Only reason why someone would ever question ever purchasing this masterpiece is because they would lose all their free time because of this game.
We need an update on this video. Is it still worth it in 2022?
This game is so damn hard, i've been trying to reach a single mission for 3 days and still can't even get close to it because its so difficult. You get oneshotted by all the enemies on your way and when you're there you're simply unable to reach the quest zone.
Not saying it’s a bad thing, but this game looks and plays a lot like Genshin Impact. Of course Genshin came out after this (to my knowledge), but still, similarities are present.
If you have a Wii-U….don't bother sharing your comments…..you are the inferior race of Nintendo console owners….and I think you already know that. Also, when you grow up to be a big boy or girl….get a real console like a Playstation.
It's about time we get another Ocarina of Time type game…..took long enough……
2022 and still going strong
I just purchased a Switch. Thinking about picking this one up. Is it still worth playing?
I love how I started playing this to prepare for BOW 2, and you said "technically outdated hardware". It's 2022, and we still have that outdated hardware lmao.
What do you guys think? should i get it never played a zelda game im average at games and yknow looks fun!
beat mario odyssey really easy so? prime days coming up i wanna see if i can get a deal…
Some of these videos you should call "You Need to Buy" not "Before you Buy"
I’m playing this rn on the wii u (bc i dont own a switch 🥲) and maybe i’m not a graphical expert but it looks identical to the switch version to me. I will say that there can be a little slowdown in the busier environments (like the cities) but overall it still looks great 👍🏻
Still recommended today? Haven't played it yet and was thinking about it since the sequel was announced
Reasons Nintendo is one of the best developer companies. They actually give two shits about their games. Yes there are others out there but this is the first that comes to mind.
