Om so on the fence on this. I recently played Diablo 2 remastered on PS5 and loved it, the nostalgia and visual upgrades is beautiful. Never liked Diablo 3 because it looked ”cartoony” like WoW/Warcraft series, wich I’m not a fan of. Visually and playing the beta on D4 i got that D2 feel, but it was only the beta. Is it worth it? I know everyone has difference taste and all. So idk, the price here in Sweden is like 800 Swedish crowns, wich is like equivalent to roughly 80 US $, wich seem kind of a steep price. And god knows, It may be months from now D4 will have some kind of discount. But for me I like that you can play online with friends like in Destiny 2, wich I have played hundreds if not thousands of hours, and 70% of that was the enjoyment of playing with friends just talking and having a good time. I loved playing Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1&2 couch co-op, hack and slash and the isometric rpg view of games like that. And Matty knows these type of games, so I respect his opinion and views. Is it worth a buy? Or should i wait for a sale/discount? If anyone care to share their opinion, would be much appriciated. Thanks
Diablo 4 is a bloody masterpiece. One of the best video games in decades.
So I spend a lot of time on discord or the phone and I've been looking for a game to play while on those calls. This sounds like it might be the perfect fit. I've never played Diablo before, so i guess it's time to give it a whirl.

My biggest issue with this game aside always online which i also hate is level scaling 😔 makes doing sidequest feel somewhat useless.. i started doing sidequest thinking i will grow My character and make next mission easier only to realise as i level up the mission level also raises

Always online turned me off immediately from buying it at full price. I’ll be waiting until it’s cheap like I did with Diablo 3.

well honest i pre orded and pay 150$ and seriously i hate it….. i play many many games including Elden Ring and Diablo 4 suck on every lvl…….. shitty lagging ….. they have like 3 diff dungeons set ups out of 150… cmon man . crafting is a bust ……. and the game is broken 2 days after it's out 🙁 ….. how could anyone be hooked on that crap ?
Fun game, internet connection has been good until now….. queue for login…. for a what? is basically a single player game…. the fuck. Sorry but regardless of how good it is, if their servers are shit thr gsme is basically shit. And having no offline option to mitigate server issues makes it worse.
It went from a 10/10 experience, to now a garbage out of dumpsterfire. This is why games specially rpgs need to always have ofline option. 0/10….
I don't like how drops aren't insanely powerful or game play changing. It's fun but not as fun as 3. I've run into a ton of lag. Sometimes attacks will stop working. It's usually when I transition into a new area.
I got a Diablo IV standard edition (+extra's) voucher included with my new video card. I still not have activated it (I can claim until 13-7-2023). I was burned out by Diablo 3 reaper of Souls, and I am not sure if I really want to dive in again. I still have time to think about that though. And here's the reason why…
As a pure single player I feel a bit uncomfortable about other players being around me. If they don't interfere with my game play or do unwanted mingling in, I am fine with that. However – It's unclear to me if that's the case. I am a single player, and do not feel any need whatsoever to interact with other players. Call me unsocial, but that's how I want to play my games. If I cannot do that, I rather do not play the game at all. And that's the reason I truly hesitate to claim that voucher. Maybe in the future (at least before the claim date passes), but yeah…
I'm playing this in my "man cave" on my 85 inch Samsung neo qled with my Bose surround sound. I can't even describe lol. I may never leave the basement. What i hate is I sometimes need to pause it and it kicks me off.
Maybe I'll play it next year….. I was super hype for Diablo 3 and we all know how that went. I played D2 growing up and it was definitely my favorite PC game….. The burn from OverWatch is still fresh, and Final Fantasy is coming out in less than 2 weeks. There's no way I can justify paying full price for this game right now. 😢

Downloaded the game today on to my PS4 Pro. Played 2 characters up to the the hermits cabin. The sorceress and the barb.Not very far, level 6. But I can say already that this is the game that Diablo III should have been.

If you like arpgs D4 is mid. Endgame so far is very weak. Build diversity is weak.
If you're a casual or a tourist like Matty you'll probably like D4.

Ive made a fire&ice sorc but i do respec based on the equipment and the bonuses. Right now running ball lightning but i dont like it all. Gonna go back to Blizzard
This is the first Diablo game I have played and I am enjoying it. It's fun and I can take it at my own pace. I'm really looking forward to learning all about this game and seeing what class I end up on. I started with a barbarian as it seemed like it would be the most "newbie" friendly in the game. I plan on playing every class eventually.
Can you really pop achievements by just buying it on another platform and everything on locks? I didn’t do that in D2R but if so, that’s very interesting lol
