Shaping is so interesting! I'll try it.
I live in a RV in Arizona, its hard to go outside in the afternoon in the summer. I have a 100 lb malonois and a 85lb husky. We play hide and seek with toys, wrestling and tug a war and 5 mile walks at 3 am 😂😅
Love the dog with the box,so clever
How is this a workout when the dog is eating 😂😂😂
My GSD hates brooms. He would grab it and run
I absolutely love this video! I plan on doing this all the time with my dog Cooper
I had to train my boxer pup to NOT run in between my legs! I didnt want a broken hip if he tripped me❤
You mean your not going to do the between the legs exercise with Skye?LOL
So my dog looks EXACTLY like Lucy and I haven't done a DNA test. Any have any ideas what mix she looks like? She's beautiful!
@mccanndogs You're probably not looking at this comment section anymore considering this video was posted 3 years ago, but in case you happen to see this, what treats are you using? The dogs seem to really love them.
I taught my dog what I called "puppy burpees", which was sit – down- jump up. She probably loved it the same amount that humans love burpees, but she'd do just about anything for a treat! 🤣
I really appreciate this as it’s winter in Alaska (actually second winter lol) and we have a small living room.
I inadvertently was having our 1 year old rescue do doggy push ups with ‘stand up’, ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’ training. I had no idea how much energy it takes, she’d throw a tantrum after a bit lol.
16:32 what should I do, when the training worked way too well, for my extremely food motivated puppy? What I mean by that, is that I teach him something and once he understands he will get food for doing that. He will be doing it without getting asked and get frustrated, anxious, angry, and sometimes aggressive when he is not getting his food.
For example, when I taught him to sit. Suddenly I would realize he would sit around me constantly and at first, I thought it was cute. But then he got mad and started growling and barking, if I got my hand close, he would bite. He would do it the whole day, and when he realized he was getting no food he would snap. And that happens with everything I teach him; he starts doing it over and over expecting infinite food. And he is so food motivated, that even when I give him precisely the amount he needs, he always wants more. Sometimes I wonder, if I should reward it anyway, but then it would reinforce it. And verbal rewards, doesn't seem to work. In fact, if I say yes without giving him food, he would get mad.
That Cheerio is such a cute dog.
Thanks!
What are the treats your using?
Thank you. I've a large rescue street dog, and I LOVE your videos. They're a great help!!
I have a flat coat retriever. Picky and not very motivated by food or toys. How do i motivate ?
Loved this! Great advice and really good fun for us both, thank you ☺️
U show this training with dogs that r already trained, my dog luvs food n is very food oriented but it's not that easy to train her to go through my legs. U need to show with dogs that haven't done it before
My dogs are too smart for their own good. They’ll either try to walk around the broomstick or hop over it.
This is great! I’ve got a. Aussie so this gives me some things to do with him.
Thank hou for this. I love your techniques, you are gentle with the teaching and give tips for us that have zero experience in dog training. Your videos are straight to the point and so much talking of other irrelevant things tht are so tiring.
Pls keep up the good work!
