I just gave away 3 kittens that were almost 3 months old.. and my heart is breaking cuz momma is looking for them 😭
It's good to watch this again.🤗💕💕💕
My cat just had her babies. It was so random. I was downstairs watching Emily in Paris, and eating quesadillas. I dropped some crumbs, and my cat didn't want to eat them. So, I went upstairs to get the other one. As I am entering the room i hear little meows. That's when I realized she was giving birth. All babies are okay. They're adorable.
Is it ok to separate kittens after 6 weeks …my cat is searching for them 😔
Feel bad so true ❤
My cat gave birth to 6 kittens . I ‘m confused if I should give all for adoption or need to keep 1 for the mother. How to understand if mother would want to have 1 or no . ?
I’m fostering a mama cat and her kittens and I was advised to have her fixed at the five week mark by the local feral help. I’m now at the 12 week mark and the kittens are still feeding from mom. She isn’t showing any interest in letting them go and cries persistently once separated from her kittens. Any advice for weaning and how I can help mama?
With the help of a volunteer rescue animal lady, I did get the mother neutered and her 4 kittens, I have been feeding and housing, are now up for adoption at the Ventura County Animal Shelter in Camarillo, California. I miss them dearly but although I never married and never was pregnant, (so no abortions), at 55 years old, I cannot be a stereotypical unwed, single, "Cat Woman." I am grieving and reached out and found your video which now gives me solace. Thank you so much.❤
I just atempted to release the stray momma after being with her 2 kittens for 10 weeks. When i came back to check up on her, she started meowing for her kittens the minute she saw me. Tried to catch her with no luck for almost 30 mins. Then we got one of her babies, lured her into my shop and she went right into the carrier. She meowed for 45 mins. We had to catch her to reunite her with her babies. What a night.
Too much evolution. Sorry. Humans never evolved….
So I have a litter and their mom in my shed (it has an AC and it’s kitten proof don’t worry). The kittens get fixed Friday and will be ready for homes after recovery but I have seperated them as practice and momma sauce is heartbroken, meowing at the shed door and such. I can’t be with her at night time, any advice?
I’ve decided to keep one of mommy’s kittens… the other kitten will be adopted…. Now I’m feeling guilty in separating the 2 sisters… 😢can someone please give reassuring advice
And badger that happened to badger as well
Mama cats stay bonded to their kittens…long after breastfeeding…
Ive heard mama cats meowing and calling for her kittens when they were gone.
Also I have seen feral cats for many years and they stay in groups of families…
Ive seen them help in protecting and raising their babies…
Just because Mom wants a few minutes break does not mean that she wants to actually give up her babies…
In reality it's the males that usually go off and find their own territories in the females hang around the mom in a pride similar to what lions do…
Thank you for reassuring me with your "what is practical" statement. I fostered a pregnant stray and didn't know what I was getting into. The kittens are happy and healthy at 8 weeks, I got mama spayed this week, but I had someone ready to adopt today -right at 8 weeks, and I am so overwhelmed I didn't want to delay the people adopting it. Mama is looking for him though, so I feel awful.
A mother cat, if her litter is left with her, will continue to provide milk for them for approximately 14 weeks. After about 10 weeks, they feed them less frequently ~ sometimes laying or sitting in such a way that the growing kittens cannot access the teats.
All maternal care gradually reduces, until about 18 weeks when the youngsters are largely independent, but still seek out Mum for security when they want to rest.
We know this, because during the last 20 years, we have trapped several feral cats to bring home to keep ~ & the females were already pregnant.
We kept all the cats & had them all neutered. Our 2005 cats are now nearly all gone ~ we have just three 17 year olds left😢😢😢. The four ferals we trapped in 2022 turned into 17. We have them all, & they are all neutered.
We live on a 4 acre smallholding in very rural mid-west Wales in the UK, & they all do an excellent job of rodent control outside ~ & an excellent job of occupying every single chair & sofa.
They are all very much loved, & very well cared for. Flea & worming treatments cost a fortune on a regular basis. 😻😻😻
Dont spay and neuter these animals need their hormones so they can live healthy lives
Wow! That multi feeding bowl. What a great idea! Is that chips and dips bowl? Fantastic idea.
Yes of course they do.
Thats really sad, I cant stop crying
Today i learned cats hypothalamus look like a severed yellow nut sack with some chewing gum sealing it shut to hold in the nuts. 0:57
Orange mama. Quite rare.
Thanks for this video. I have a mama feral on my back enclosed porch with her babies and are taking the babies to the Humane Society on Saturday, had to wait to get an appointment. I feel really bad because she somewhat trusts me and now I am stealing her babies away. However, I know it's for the best that they get adopted into loving homes and not be left outside. Now to get Mama fixed, will have to trick her to get her trapped.
I have a mama cat and she just had her kittens elevate 3 months old and my husband want them to go to the doctor who will adopt kittens and give them away I have a mama cat and she steel show love on the 4 baby kittens they been born on January now is April 3 months old kittens she still feeding them some times my husband keep telling me I want them to go when they start playing too others him not me Amen ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Assuming a cat has an average of 4 kittens per litter and has 3 litters per year, starting at around 1 year of age and continuing until around 8 years of age, she could potentially give birth to around 84 kittens in her lifetime. However, this number can vary significantly based on individual circumstances.
Pituitary look like ballsack
We took in the neighborhood cat when she gave birth. We have her and the 5babies set up in our back room. But our resident female is not having aonyher female in her land. I want the momma to have a forever home when it comes times, but no one wants a grown kitty, just a cute baby. Its my fault i didn't socialize our resident female in the first place. So torn.
This was just a random video and was super interesting
My cat was adopted at the age of 17 days and selrated by its mom it made me cry seeing in her trying to Nurse from her mother while her mother isnt there it makes me cry i cant handle it
My cats were born in my garden from a pregnant cat. I kept them all, including the mother cat, and they are still inseparable many years later.
Why does the pituatary gland look like a ballsack?
I think it breaks their hearts at first.
I had a mom and her daughter together for 15 years. They loved each other dearly and was besties for sure but not mother daughter. That evaporated quickly. They were just best buddies and enjoyed each other like that.
I hope so.
thank you for this explanation
In most animals, if they suddenly lose their young too early, will have a couple of days of roaming and calling for their young, and then they will forget about them. And, if you try to keep a kitten too long, the mother will most likely drive the youngling away, (if you want to keep a kitten or two, you need to have them fixed as early as possible , as then the mother will not be triggered to chase them off her territory)
