for the parry one, go to the sparring arena at niflheim and practice your parrying there, in the arena you wont die so you can practice without dying, you can also use the arena for completing labors
don't know about y'all but i played through nearly the entire game before realizing it offers gyro aiming for ranged attacks in settings. it feels sooo much better
These are extremely basic tips. The title of this video is misleading.
Man i wish i had the blades of chaos… cant wait for the boy to get sick lol.
Best way to parry any enemy- shield exactly when the hand/weapon passes from behind their body to in front of the body. Doesn’t matter if it’s a tiny enemy, they do a long trick animation, or a huge boss. It’s the same with every single enemy.
These are not advanced tips. These are basic tips at most. An advanced tip would be animation canceling or synergy with weapons or weapons/relics or the uses of the different status effects…. telling someone that parry is OP doesn't make it advanced LOL.. same with moving around "a ton". Instead of always moving its probably better to have situational awareness and room positioning is more important that constantly moving. This video is silly AF
Amazing
i fuckin hate this game so much. i LOVE the fighting, but the god damn running around trying to figure out where the fuck to go has my head spinning. shit is ABSOLUTELY nuts and ridiculous for those of us who don't want to get into the stupid fuckin' lore. wish these dipshit programmers, after YEARS of being able to study games, would just enable a mode where it tells u where the fuck to go. i'm not here to explore, i'm here to kill shit
1:56 you have no health!! how you still alive!?!?!?
Спасибо!
Thanks
I need an honest answer here. Are you telling me you didn't have the enemies' life bar visible vs. Heimdal? If so, that is impressive.
If these are the advanced combat tips im extremely curious on what the basic combat tips are 😂
These are not advanced
What a crap video. Learnt absolutely nothing
i don't know why ragnarok feels so much harder to play than GOW4, but these tips were pretty helpful for not being bad at the game
Another secret: You can refill your health and rage automatically by accessing a mystical gateway. You don't have to go through the gateway. Just use the stone to form the gateway and VIOLA! Health and rage restored.
Parry tip that pretty standard across most video games that have a parry system:
Look for a key point in a animation for you to hit your parry. Sometimes it’s something like a beast closing it’s mouth, or an axe being drawn back for a split second. There is normally a specific que you can find to help get your timing down.
You know the video is useless when all the tips are in the comments
In the beginning of the game when you are fighting Thor you have the opportunity to max out the moves from your axe in the beginning
If you go to a mystic gateway, press circle to activate it, then don't select a destination (instead cancel to stay where you are) the gateway will fully refill both your health and rage meters.
How to use the winds port is key thing to find out.
Or you can do all of this in video if you just play the game , there's a world that you can practice with different enemies
Advanced tips!!?? Beginners tips surely
Already platted it
Also, if you playing with another character (for example, one of the dwarfs). A lot of the times if u stop, they will b pointed in the direction u need to go.
The editing in this video is really bad. They talk about combat techniques but don't actually show any of the tips they're talking about.
Luckily Atreus is a walking Tips machine haha, I know some people hate this but I HATE being stuck in a area designed to causing frustration because I didn't notice a small trail on the ground that means I can push a rock in a cave of rocks that looks like every other rock, crap like that.
Anyways, thanks for these tips, I laughed at the "Always go the way you shouldn't go" because that's something I've always enjoyed doing since the original DK Country or Mario games growing up with all of their random secrets.
The combat is just plain bad.
Why not practice parrying at the practice arena next to the raven tree? I know you won’t get xp for kills but you also won’t keep dying
Lame video
useless guide.
Tip #1 to get the maximum enjoy from the game, play on at least prelast difficulty
Waste of time this is literally press the buttons woth common sense
Very novice tips. Almost every one who have played God of War knows these
Now that the tips video has dropped, the lore video is probably on its way.
It's frustrating but when I win fights I feel like the God of war. Ecspecially when I've noticed constant pressure is good. Never give them a chance to group up on you and I rage the moment I get it. It'll come back haha
4:20 you shouldn't just hit R3 right away if it's an stunned enemy with yellow circles, that indicates that they'll survive an R3 attack. What you should do is throw a few hits on them first to take their health down as much as possible before triggering the grapple; if the circle goes red, then you can finish them with R3, but if it's yellow, use the time to deal as much damage while stunned.
The rage heals too. Every punch you land gets you health. I don’t like valor. At least with rage you get the cause the enemy damage and get your health back with valor you don’t get to call the enemy damage and all you do is get a little bit of health back
The voiceover in this video is incredibly awkward. Hard to listen to.
im sorry but these are not “advanced” tips.
The only thing ive learned playing this game… is I hate it…
Im playing on Give Me God of War difficulty in fairness,
but in that difficulty, your damage is pitiful runic attacks are a joke, you cant do any charge attacks if there more than 1 enemy, if there two one will always end up behind you and murder you from behind, while your chipping at the guy in front of you.
Rage Mode is a joke, cant even kill 1 enemy that has two segmented health bars with a rage mode…Maybe im just grossly underpowered or something, yeah, not enjoying the game right now.
Admittedly im stil early doors, and just killed the 5th? Boss.
You can do a lot usefull tips by tweaking the setting:
Extened puzzle timer
Auto aim with axe throwing
Sprint without pressing L3
Adding color to make chest, brakeable walls more visible
I do agree about parry in this video. If you mastered it pretty much you unkillable.
Looking up to see If any breakable jars are hanging in the area for extra loot.
2 best skills early in the game is infused frost for Leviathan Axe & infused fire for Chaos Blades. Elemental damage is King in late game
GOTY
The combat is not so great in this game😢
ADVANCED tips? These?
you gotta be joking
please add chapters!
I fucking despise the combat in this game holy shit. Why do I get surrounded but this meathead takes up half my screen so i can't see shit. 1-on-1 encounters are perfect but wtf is the mob combat
Thanks for the tips! Looking forward to the lore vids for this!
