Tip: never give a puppy this young bones they can’t digest them..give them bisquits and training treats..and ALWAYS use a harness never a collar bcuz they can easily get a collapsed trachea

I know it’s a little late to be commenting (maybe) but, I want to get a border collie and I was searching for info, on how to welcome the puppy properly. We have a dog but she is my sisters, and I want my own, and I just want to make sure she is welcomed in the family in the correct way. When we got my sisters pup, we didn’t have anything like a bed, water bowl, food bowl etc, we where supposed to only look at the pups but ended up taking one home. 😂

Help!! Can someone please advice what I can do if the new puppy tries to get on my bed constantly and cries and barks loudly if i don't let it up on the bed? I'm gonna foster a puppy for a week or so before adopting one so as to get to prepare myself and my family for what comes next but i'm worried that the pup will try to climb on the bed because the first pup I fostered had a habit of sleeping and chilling on human beds and we gave her back within 2 days cuz my dad did not approve of this as he doesn't allow pets on furniture and when we didn't let her get on our bed, she became mad and started barking and crying like crazy. Her barks were so loud that we had no option but to let her in our bed after sometime. I was heartbroken when we gave her back and I don't want this to happen again.
Find it interesting that you use cages, or "crates" as you call them. In some countries it is against the law to put a dog in a cage. Dogs are not a den animal, putting it in a cage has no benefits. It may even be cruel.
