Thank you Susan. I have a 6 month Shihtzu puppy; I am going through many of your training techniques. She sits at the door and only goes out when I say 'break', after I throw a favorite toy she sits until I say 'break'. It is helpful b/c she doesn't charge the door when it is opened. I have started the Pivots and spins from # 68. She is starting to understand front feet on the perch. I would appreciate a video training on Perch Work training with her back end circling.
We are training loose leash walking from your training with giving reward from the seam of my pant when in reinforcement position. She loves the mental engagement in all of these 'games' and she is happy and positive because her confidence is being built. Her attitude is: "I wonder what we are going to learn today!"
I still need work especially in getting her in the down/side position and relaxed for husbandry tasks. She is doing so well, though and loves all of the activities/games. Thank you very much Susan!

I am very interested in a video with that training. Also I have a question not sure if you answer personal training questions, but I have tried training with a trainer and things got worse. I found your page and trying to learn. I have a miniature schnauzer that has extreme anxiety. He has always been around dogs and in the past 2 years we have had to put down 2 dogs so now it’s only him. The anxiety has gotten worse. He barks at other dogs and people. I was walking him trying to work with him, but it has gotten worse towards people and dogs. He is so insecure and the anxiety just goes to the top where he just barks and lunges if we pass a dog. If someone comes over to our house he will bark nonstop. I am trying to find some training guidance to help me, help him. He is 4 years old. I don’t have money to take him to training anymore and worried I would get the wrong trainer that would cause more issues like before. Can you give me some advice, guidance , anything to help would be very much appreciated. I am overwhelmed. I love this dog and want to help him. I have done some basic things which have not helped.
